Responsible Spending by Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan
The people who spend money, when they spend money, they don't spend too much, and they are not cheap either. They are right in between. When you go shopping, you say, 'aaah - I make good money...put it all in.' 'I will take two of these!' 'I will take three of those!' 'I will take five of those!' 'What's the biggest TV you have? I wanna TV that doesn't even go through my door!' 'Give me that one!' You know...'What's the most expensive car? What's the most...?' You know, you just wanna show people how much money you got! You just wanna Pay! Pay! Pay! You can eat food at a restaurant, but you wanna go to a restaurant where they charge you 200 riyaal's to sit down first. You are spending too much. You are spending too much! Right? Allah says the people who spend, but they are responsible when they spend. They are responsible when they spend and they are not cheap either. You don't go to the store with your wife to get the cereal & the milk & the vegetables & she's putting milk and you are like, 'you gonna drink all that milk? You need all that milk! Get the small one!' Hey! Don't do that! You know, don't be cheap either. You have to have a balance in the budget. Let me tell you something, the economic crisis in the world, the fall of the European economy, the fall of the American economy that it's barely recovering from, You know where it came from? It came from people spending irresponsibly & then institutions spending irresponsibly & then government spending irresponsibly & saying we can just put it on credit card, put it on the credit card, put it on the credit card. People got approved for mortgages for their homes far more than they can afford & they said, 'we are approved, go for it!' You get your credit check & you can lease a car, its more expensive than you can afford but hey, I'll just make the minimum payments, I'm okay & people built upon this debt because they didn't spend, they spent outside of their means. Quran is teaching us! Quran is teaching us! That when you spend money, don't spend money that's not in your pocket. Don't take loans. Don't be addicted to your credit card. Don't be like that! Spend within your means. Spend within your budget. You know, the only time the Muslim gets careful about spending is when they have to give sadaqah! It's the only time; you know, there's a, you know, the box going around & people are collecting saddaqah for the masjid & you say, 'man...electricity bill? Gas? School? There is so much!' The whole budget for your family comes up in front of you. You become a certified professional accountant, You know. But then when you go to the, the video game store or the electronic store & you are buying the new gadget, the new phone; the tablet; or you are buying the movie or whatever, the whole budget doesn't come in front of your eyes. You don't say, 'what about the gas! What about the electricity!' You just spend it! You just spend it! We have to be responsible spenders.
I am an Christian, but everything this man said was truly inspiring... he is speaking the truth people !! Spend you’re money wisely!!

I'm sure that Nouman Ali Khan would laugh hearing the super-hero sound in background, but every single one of his lectures is still awesome so it fits good imo.
So true, people buy expensive cars in order to impress others, they buy expensive clothes to impress others instead of using the money for a good thing like helping others etc. Unfortunatly we live in a society where money gets a hell lot of attention, a lot of women go crazy about guys who have an expensive car and clothes and young man love to buy expensive cars and clothes in order to impress women.
Adam Johnson not everyone buys a nice car to impress others, some of us just love the mechanics of a car - the power, speed, handling, comfort. Did not the companions love spending on modes of transportation (horses and camels)? May Allah be pleased with them.

i have been marrid for 6 yrs i struggled to get my husband to the uk. when he got his indefinat he changed i have 2 kids i have to go back to work becouse he wont do anything for us when i say anything he says u get the kids money buy them stuff frm that. iv tryed in 6 yrs to do everything he wont buy food clothes oh anything he has a full time job but he says he dosent have money. what am i ment to do in this situation. im the mum and dad to my kids. the only thing he dose is pay rent for the house and ova littel thing he tells me to get out the house. need help
If you have family that will take you and your kids in, divorce your husband because hes clearly useless and it seems that you're capable to be mum and dad to your kids. Turn to Allah first and ask for the best sollution and have patience.

2: 254. *Oh, you who believed! You spend out of what We have provided you with before a day comes in which there will be no bargaining, no friendship, and no intercession; and the disbelievers, they are the wrongdoers.*
The one who becomes a believer with Adhikr which is the Permission of Lord mentioned in verse 10: 100 is having the aim of life that he has to prepare Paradise here in the fourth phase to inherit It in the seventh phase. The hypocrites who hide Adhikr and the Mushriks who attribute intercessors and intermediates to Lord rejecting Adhikr are the disbelievers and wrongdoers. They are not having the aim of life.
The Day mentioned in verse is the day of death for the individual, while in the case of mankind it is the Day of Judgment. Since this verse addresses the believers instead of mankind, it is clear that the disbelievers, wrongdoers, and transgressors will come only from the Arabic Quran reading Fujjar who are reading these verses. The one who doesn’t judge in his individual, family, and social life with Adhikr, those are disbelievers, wrongdoers, and transgressors as told in verses 5: 44, 45, and 47 respectively.
It is commanded to the believers through verses 10: 85-86 to pray as: “Our Lord! You make not us a trial to the wrongdoing people, and You save us with Adhikr (Your Mercy) from the disbelieving people”. Verses such as 5: 51; 6: 144; 28: 50 and 46: 10 end as: “Indeed, Allah doesn’t guide the wrongdoing people”. Both verses 5: 67 and 16: 107 end as: “Indeed, Lord Allah doesn’t guide the disbelieving people”. Disbelievers are mentioned in 520 places in Lord’s Book, whereas wrongdoers are mentioned in 220 places. All the hypocrites and Mushriks are included in disbelievers and wrongdoers.
Verses such as 2: 258; 3: 86, 151; 4: 168; 5: 72; 7: 37; 14: 13, 34; 17: 99; 18: 29; 21:97; 29: 68; 34: 31; 39: 32 and 46: 10 describe about the disbelievers and wrongdoers in the same verse. The disbelievers and the wrongdoers mentioned in continuous verses are the following 3: 56- 57, 116-117, 140-141, 149-150; 4: 167-168; 5: 44-45, 72-73; 6: 129-130; 7: 44-45; 8: 55-56; 10: 85-86; 11: 18-19, 67-68; 14: 27-28; 16: 27-28, 84-85; 18: 37-38; 21: 29-30; 22: 44-45, 71-72; 25: 26-27; 27: 43-44; 29: 46-47, 67-68; 30: 8-9; 35: 36-37, 39-40; 59: 16-17; 61: 7-8 and 71: 27-28. See explanation 1: 7; 2: 165-169 and 4: 150-151.
