📖 GLOSSARY: 📖
► False Vocal Folds: False vocal folds, also called ventricular folds are a pair of thick folds of mucous membrane that are located above the larynx. They close when swallowing to protect the lungs.
► Thin Vocal Folds: When the folds thin out when you go higher in the range. Also known as head voice.
► Falsetto: When the vocal folds are stiff and let out air.
► Thick Vocal Folds = When you are in your chest register (so lower than an A above middle C ish) the true vocal folds are thick, and therefore we call this thick vocal folds.
► True Vocal folds = Vocal cords. They aren't cords at all but folds of tissue and ligament, so we stay clear of you thinking they are like two ropes in your larynx.
► Larynx: the place in the throat where the Vocal Folds / Vocal Cords live.

sias been live at the mic since 1995 shes been unwell the past couple years and its taken a toll on her voice

Hello, I just wanted to inform you that Sia has not had a very good time in recent years, before 2019 her voice was more powerful and she had better control over it, I don't know if you have seen performances of Chandelier or alive or other songs, before she did it very well, in its own way, but it sounded great. Sia was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, it affects the elasticity of the skin and we believe that is why her voice has changed, apart from that she has suffered other conditions, believe me that what you saw is a great advance in Sia's voice , since she had had serious problems when it came to singing since 2019. We are very grateful that we were able to see her again on stage since she had withdrawn from concerts and presentations, perhaps due to the condition of her voice, for us her fans did incredible and we were grateful to see her sing again. :')

Sia is amazing live! I have 135 live versions of her songs and never a off note.
She’s been thru a lot lately personally and medically- please don’t judge by this performance.

Zoe, not sure if you are aware but Sia has Ehrles-Danlos Syndrome. It affects her joints, skin tissue and vocal cords. You can hear the change in her tone and voice instability if you listen to "Floating Through Space." She has been struggling for a few years now.

Miley has Reinke‘s edema which is a chronic condition that made her vocal cords swell,she has had vocal surgery because of that in
2019.Her voice also went way down hill these past 6 years and some people suggest she has Ehlers Danlos too :/
I know she does. But that doesn't mean she can't sing anymore, she just has to get regular check ups. ❤️

It’s a genetic disorder that we’ve got, not an illness especially not chronic (: it’s degenerative so it’ll keep getting worse so it’s technically chronic too but then again not exactly

I wonder if Sia was nervous. I know they have both been singing forever, but if Miley is a peer she may be more nervous than normal.
Maybe a little, it's been a long time since she has sung live. But she seemed very comfortable on stage with Miley and Paris. But the reason her voice sounds so difference is because she suffers from EDS and chronic illnesses affecting her vocal chords, but it seems to be getting better.

Sia used to sound really amazing but ehlers danlos has messed her voice up. Her voice went wayyyyy downhill. She has sounded really horrible these past 5ish years but her voice has been improving a little bit this past year. It's sad hearing her sing live nowadays compared to her older performances. I'm hoping that her voice continues to improve but I just know it will never ever be the same :(
So sad that she is ill. I need to look into that. Thanks Chris for the comments though. Appreciate it

No, more Britney because they also had a similar upbringing and similar manipulation (like marilyn too) to sounding more girly and cute
So, Im a fan of the original Paris track. Miley didn't do the original (computer) version of Paris justice. She changed it too much. The girl with the Ramen noodles on her head sounded like she was choking on Ramen soup singing, and Paris came in... clearly not singing live at first like the other two. Then her mic went live and it was disastrous. This performance was a trash fire. At least Miley and Ramen sang live the whole time. I still love Paris and her song, even though I knew she couldn't sing.
