The only thing I have to say is that she should get both salt and pepper as a pantry ingredient. Literally everyone had those ingredients.
Yeah, in my opinion they're barely ingredients, they're like the bare minimum

i think you could have made shrimp dumplings instead of pasta, because that kinda dough only requires flour and water. also to make pasta without eggs you can simply use semolino flour, that's actually how most italian pasta is made

@@sheelushibani123 let’s be for real it is not a pantry staple for MOST people most groceries stores universally don’t even sell semolina flour 💀 it’s more common and globally known to others to know flour but not semolina flour nor is semolina flour a product that is globally traded often to a large n vast amount of countries

Absolutely brilliant! I did wonder why no steamed or poached carrots on the side of the main dish for color and extra nutrition. I NEVER would have thought of the amazing things she came up with though. Wow! Well done!
How about some RnG involved on the ingredients? Have Alexis choose some numbers, reveal the corresponding ingredients based on those numbers, then challenge her to make a 3 course meal with her randomized selected ingredients.

i love this challenge! Always love watching Alexis cook and 'Chef out of Water' is one of my favourite series to rewatch over and over. Please make this into a series, such creativity in the recipes ^_^

That was so creative, and I would love to see more content like this. I love to take disparate ingredients and see what I can whip up with them. It's fun to watch someone else do it. I once took powdered peanut butter, sriracha, spinach, and canned tomato sauce and made a sort of Thai, Italian fusion pasta sauce. It was one of a kind and very delicious. I miss Chef Out Of Water, and want to see more videos with Alexis, no matter what the format of the cooking concept.

I feel like butter is a pantry staple. So is salt and pepper. And probably like garlic. I know personally I grew up with all that always in the pantry. Eggs as well

So my wish has been granted a bit differently. Thanks Tasty. I wanted Alexis to switch shows with rie, even just for one episode, and this is basically it except that instead of one mystery food to be made "fancy", she is given 5 surprise food and a limited access to pantry ingredients to make into a 3-course meal. I'm not mad at it.
I do hope they make an episode wherein they challenge Rie to cook meals with weird kitchen tools.

Nice! But for the pasta...I think I would have done a rue w/ the flour, oil and shrimp stock for a sauce. Maybe a bit of the aquafaba (plain) meringue for cream for a cream sauce? Just tossing out ideas.
