    That's the pattern left by bugs that eat the wood. Nothing nefarious; completely natural. They get under the bark and eat the wood, making patterns like you see on those old branches. I'm surprised when people don't know what this is.

      Yes, I figured it was something like that! But no one else commented! Thanks for explaining! I appreciate that!

    I Live in Eastern NC and have been to Uwharie National Forest but only stopped at a Store near one of the entrances. It had lots of Big foot t-shirt and other memorabilia like license plates. Cool place to visit and would love to camp there!

      It was so nice out there. I had my buddy Smith and his friend Wesson along, but they are pretty quiet, and stay hidden. I agree, not much better thsn just relaxing in the woods

    That was a beautiful solo overnight in your SUV, loving the campfire set up with the ability to cook steak on that grill. I didn't know that there were awesome car camping dispersed sites down there. Maybe you can send us the location sometime. I am pretty sure I saw Bigfoot lurking in the back when you were shining that flashlight out there. Thank you so much for that beautiful shout out, I feel humbled. I am really glad you love the rock and sticker. Hopefully it will keep up nicely and not fade. I put a coat of gloss on it. I really appreciate the shout out.

      I will have to watch the video again! Something drew me out that way....but I did not see anything. I also, was telling Tina that I felt like something was luring me out that way. Probably nothing. I was at Yates Campground in Uwharrie. It is right along the Uwharrie Trail. You are so welcome about the Shout Out! You are a good person and you do some great stuff!

    Hey, Walt! Just came over from Nicole Hikesalot channel shoutout. The steak 🥩 looked delicious Bro. I definitely saw a snake on that stick and a possible fish. There is nothing like enjoying God’s creation and having an opportunity to possibly meet up with the “Squatchman!”🦶🏿 Have a great week and blessings, Rob

    “I’m not Wonderhussy” 🤣 Those worm-like etchings on the wood was eerie. 14:20, I thought I saw a Stag, but it was a tree. Too quiet for your liking? I’ll have to check out Nicole’s channel, and beautiful rock.

    • @FrontiersmanAdventures
      @FrontiersmanAdventures  Před 2 lety

      Thanks Alan....yes, those etchings were crazy, It was definitely way too quiet. If there are large predators, birds, and all other animals get quiet. Silence is eerie. When I am in the woods, the forest is usually alive with sounds. Nicole is really cool.

    If that wonderful smell doesn’t bring BigFoot out, I don’t know if he’s there. I found it mysterious that the stick was positioned carefully on the broken tree🤔. I gotta find you the story about the game warden who heard the sounds of breaking trees all at once. On Mr. Ballens channel. You’re brave Walt, safety in numbers. Be careful.

    • @FrontiersmanAdventures
      @FrontiersmanAdventures  Před 2 lety +1

      Oh, I am sorry to have mislead you. I set the stick on rhe post. As I was gathering up firewood, I just happened to find this lying next to other branches....it was very strange. I agree, I dont think there was a bigfoot anywhere close. Although, I did feel like I was being watched. It was weird.

    That was a fun video to watch. That was a pretty good looking steak. Two steaks I guess you were hoping Sasquatch was going to join you. I thought he was more of a northwestern kind of guy. He gets around. Thanks for sharing that was fun to watch like I said.

    I am curious about another animal and just wondering if you may have seen one in your adventures in Va. or NC. That is a Mountain Lion / Puma? Over the last 10 years or so there have been many sightings from people and some coming from The Blue Ridge Mountains which I know you must be familiar with in your travels. I didn't really give these sightings much merit until I seen on the news that a family in Florida owned a Pet Lynx who had gotten loose once and they decided to put a tracking collar on it so if it happened again they could track it down more easily. Well sure enough it did happen again and 6 months later it had made it's way to Va. Beach Va. This is a short version of the story but my point is, if this small cat can make it way that far then a Mountain Lion wouldn't have any problems at all doing it also. And it is fact that Mountain Lions inhabit Florida. I would appreciate your thoughts on this.

    • @FrontiersmanAdventures
      @FrontiersmanAdventures  Před 2 lety +2

      I have seen two mountains, thankfully neither was while hiking. One was in Ohio close to the Ohio River as I was driving to Cincinnati from Huntington, WV. The other sighting, was in Craig County, Virginia but I cannot be 100% positive about that one.
