Lewis Ferguson would not have progressed the same with us. He would've been stifled. He has progressed so well cos he's playing against a higher standard every week. My own opinion of course.

Lammers hasn't got any pressure over in Holland with utrech as there not on the same hymn sheet with rangers.

Lawrence shankland and Lennon miller are absolute MUSTS in the summer. Missed the boat on a few last couple years but these two are the real deal.. as for outgoings…..

I was impressed by James Bolton's performance and determination in defence for St Mirren against Rangers last weekend. Also, I believe Souttar would work better in a midfield role as I don't believe his real strength is not in defence. Thoughts?
I think Souttar is too slow to be a midfielder, plus his passing can be a bit loose

Playing catch up on today's review, I get the player trading model but if we want to win things there are players we need to keep as we won't win by keeping the dross !!!

The only issue I can see with Ben Johnson is his goals and assists numbers are non existent. However with a couple of Cbs better than Goldson and Souttar next to him and perhaps Ridvan, or Jefte if we get him, he would be more solid for us defensively. We need a strong backline to build from. We would really need goal scoring and creating wingers. Kai Fortheringham with 11 goals age 21 and 5 assists, would be a good option, as well as Raphael Rodrigues. Good pace, competition and Mcausland will get stronger as well with experience. Lots of sell on value. Both wingers would cost around 500k total. We don't need to spend mega money, we just need to be smart. In the middle I would hope Raskin can come good or Sterling next to Dio. For rotation and cover promote Mckinnon, and I would sign Leighton Clarkson. Connor Barron and Lennon Miller as well. If we get rid of Goldson, Tav, Souttar, Lundstram, Mclaughlin, Wright, Dowell, Borna, Lammers, Dessers, Roofe, Lawrence and Matondo, we would free up a load of wages and maybe even Ridvan if he is not going to get over injuries and stay fit for long. If we are smart we then also sign Cortes, Shankland, Jefte, keep Balogun and bring in two big powerful Cbs and we are sorted. Danilo will prove a good signing like Cortes under Clement. They were very unlucky this season. I would also consider signing Alex Cochrane at left back and David Watson of Kilmarnock. Gogic as well got one of the CB slots and Carlos Cuesta of Genk for the other Joel Ordonez of Club Brugge.
There is absolutely no chance we get rid of that many players

@@rangersnut aye that's true, but ultimately shaking up the squad on that scale could be really detrimental too, I think clement will keep the core of the team and move a few of the older ones on, the likes of tav will be here next season. Clement isn't going to gut the entire team because he'd lose trust in the dressing room amongst the players left over.
@Andyw1972--- He should be able to build his own side, without fear of repercussions. If we have Tav starting at RB next season and Goldson, guys like Wright, Dowell, Lawrence, Lundstram, Matondo, expect to win nothing yet again. The core is rotten. You can add good players to that and they will be dragged down by the bottlers in the biggest games. Over and over, round and round we go on the new manager merry go round. With the mentality of quite a few and some of the fan channels, another manager sacked will never be the fault of the untouchables. No wonder Celtic fans are laughing. If we don't gut quite a chunk, and rid oursleves of the old faces, along with the guys who are constantly injured and one's at contracts end, except Balogun, we will be on a hiding to nothing and truly a joke. Clement will be out before Christmas in your scenario and we will go again, over and over. Only stopping when Tav and Goldson retire. I want Clement to have wages freed and the opportunity to mould a new gen Rangers. New heroes to back and to bring real excitement and positivity back. It can save us money on wages and not cost a ridiculous amount. There should be a high bar, fear of failure and pressure knowing anyone who doesn't perform over a season is gone at a club like ours. I want a ruthless Clement in pursuit of success for us. Advocaat would have gutted them. Walter would as well with quite a few. Especially after the Celtic games.
@@rangersnut do you believe we have the financial muscle or the desire from the manager to transform the team like that? I just don't see it. I think Goldson, Lundstram as well as a few others (roofe jack wright etc) might go, but the players starting for us right now, namely Dessers tav etc will stay. Also I don't see tav going because it would be quite the feat to replace his goals and assists.
No chance only £2m for Lammers Johnny. He’s crushing it in the Eredivisie. We could easily get £5m-7m for him. Still only 27 with three years left on his deal. Doing it in the Dutch league positively impacts your value much more than not doing it in Scotland hinders it. We’re simply blinded by his performances for us making us too conservative with his valuation. We should hold firm as there will be strong interest.
Considering his impact over there it would be a sign of pure desperation, on the clubs part, to sell Lammers for less than £5M.
Rangers need to sort out the mentality at the club before anything it's a mentality that's used to failing and bottling it every year
Talking about the injuries.. Look at the season with the Europa Leage final and cup final.. Gerrard hammered them pre-season and winter training. Our players would run anyone off the park.
Understand the ‘player trading’ model however selling Butland would be absolutely ridiculous this Summer, at the very least we need to win as many trophies as possible with his quality before he’s sold
You say you understand the player trading model, then follow that sentence up by demonstrating you don it understand the player trading model. Players must be sold when their value is at its peak regardless of ability. Celtic do it all the time. They will sell their best players for the right money at the drop of a hat.
One thing I would say.. Im not backing Beale up here. But with all the players we have signed Dessers has done not bad in terms of sheer numbers. Lammers is apparently one of the better players in the Eredivisie (Not Rangers, but clearly has ability), Sterling is great.. Butland speak for itself. Danilo has been injured due to that tackle against Hearts. Cant remember if Sima was beale signing?

If Butland keeps this focus and attitude he will end up playing for England and eventually EPL.

Butland only goes if it’s an offer to good to turn down every player has a price and we are not in a position to turn down big money for eny player. Lammers was never given a chance at 9 if he was given the same amount of time dessers has had it looks like he would have scored goals. We are in a win win position with him he could come back and score goals for us or we could let him go and get a tidy fee.

Have to laugh at the transfer values !!! Butland would go for around 6m, Tav for around 2M and Goldson, we will be lucky to shift him without a pay off.....net surplus of around 7M.
