      He’s the brother of Ken Maynard who was a better known actor. Kermit did stunt work for Ken.

    Thanks PizzaFlix, I have collected a great deal of westerns over the years, and enjoy especially the 40's to the 60's. I think there was a upsurge of western making in the 1950's, especially after Gunsmoke. Pizza for you.. 🍕

    i have seen 15 of kermit maynard's b-westerns. the 3 i have never found are Wilderness Mail (1935), Wild Horse Round-Up (1936), & The Fighting Texan (1937) in case you can find any of them.

    As an ex fighter the thing that makes me laugh in all these old westerns is they knew nothing about fighting. I have seen 12 year old girls that were well trained that could beat most of these cowboy fighters. In the words of Wild Bill Elliot: "I'm a peacable man"(right before he beat the crap out of the bad guy" :).
