i saw nausicaa 20 years ago, it was totally bananas for me, i liked because despite being bananas is a beautiful movie. Then i read the comic, and that was AWESOME, one of the best comics i read in my entire life, and explains everything in detail, and the art was sublime.
Emma Maryjanes people erroneously think the same thing when they see Paramotor pilots with helmets. The helmet isn’t for if you just fall out of the sky. Most accidents happen during takeoff or landing so the helmet is there in the event something goes wrong close to the ground. Flat-Spin, Flat-Spin, Flat-Spin, Flat-Spin. I was losing my shit as he was turning. @ 1:15 he almost loses it to spin out of control but he banks right just in time. He's a mad lad for sure for flying something that small without a vertical stabalizer or flight software.
How do we know there is no software? How is he flying it? It looks like he is just hanging on and shifting his weight. Is there somerone on the ground with a remote FBW type control that has software to stabilize it? It just looks too unstable for him to fly to me.

Lots of technical questions: 1) How come it's not a woman flying it? 2) How come he's not standing up on it (maybe related to question 1) 3) I like it, but as a pilot when it turns / yaws, it looks like a stall/spin waiting to happen. What has been done to avoid that?
Turning, ascent and descent, all seem to be done with the pilot shifting his weight, as does a hang-glider pilot, leaving the throttle as the sole hand control. Definitely it took gonads of steel to fly that machine and live to tell the tale.
Very impressive! It looks like a rather challenging aircraft to fly, but the pilot seems to have mastered it. I hope that someone makes a version of this aircraft for MSFS.

ついにOshkoshで飛んだんだ。素晴らしい。
ただただ感動して見凝ているうちに、動画が終わってしまった。
作り上げた知識と積み重ねられた工夫、資金や時間を捻出する苦心、グループで調整する忍耐、一つ間違えれば木端微塵なり摩られるなりで死ぬのに敢えて命懸けで飛び出す勇気、それらあって初めて為せる偉業。
実に常人には真似のできない偉業です。
かくて彼はまさしく文字通りに翼上の人となった。
夢へ向かって、夢を追いかけて、夢を目指して、空へ上がった。
あまつさえ旋回までしてのけた。
そして夕陽に見守られつつ、迫るにつれて速度感を著しく増す地面に対して大胆に堂々と下降し、接地、着陸して、止めた。
凄い。

メーヴェが現実となった今。模型では可能だと証明されているフラップターを誰かが製作して欲しい。
架空の世界の乗り物なのだけれども、可能だというものをデザインして作品として登場させた宮崎駿はやはり天才。
それ以上に現実に作って乗ってしまった熱意はすごい。
初期の飛行よりも操縦技術が向上したのか、飛んでいる映像はまさにメーヴェ。
アニメのメーヴェが実際に飛べるんだと実証した人たち素晴らしいです、あとこれが飛べる事が分かった今宮崎駿がこの形を考えなくデザインしてるんじゃ無い事も分かりました、あとフラップターも実現してほしいんですけど人を乗せて羽ばたかせて飛べる乗り物を作るのは簡単ではないですね、でも誰か実現させて欲しいw
この方、すごすぎて言葉になりません。文字通り命かけていますよね。空の世界というのはこういう方々の並々ならぬ努力と勇気で開拓されてきたのですね。脱帽です。
いつ失速するかわからない、なんの保障もないのに、むき出しの体で垂直尾翼すらない飛行機に乗れるだけすごい。見てるだけで手のひらと足の裏に変な汗をかいた。

この凧にしてもガンシップにしても航空力学的には信じられない構造なのに、
ソレを本当に作って人間乗せて飛ばしちゃうんだからスゴい。事故らなくて良かった。
アニメ制作者はメカに関しては素人だし、実機を製作する前提で描いてないから、
実際に飛んだのを見たら「本当に飛ばした人が居るんだ！？」って逆に驚くと思う。
アニメのまま実現できる可能性が高いのは“アキラ”で金田が乗っていたバイクくらいかな？

最後に見たのが2016年でしたが、19年にも飛んでたんですね。

技術的にアニメみたいにはならないけど人間が飛行機のコックピットに乗らずスケボーやサーフイン感覚でジェットエンジンつけて飛んでいることを実感できる映像は貴重だと思う。海外だと007やロケッティアみたいな発想がロスオリンピックのロケットマンだったのと同じでリリエンタールの時代に人が両腕に翼をつけてパタパタやってたりダヴィンチがヘリコプター設計してたのにも通じるね。
