About Whey
Whey was just a boy when, at one of his grandfather's shows, Jessi Colter left a microphone on a chair backstage after performing "Storms Never Last". Young Whey picked up the microphone and pranced out onto the stage and began singing "Mamma's Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys." Whey's grandpa Waylon shouted out: "Hey hold up there Hoss...wait for me!" Waylon went to pickin' and when the song was finished, the crowd went nuts. It was on that day that Whey fell in love with music and as they say... the rest is history.

I’m 46 and that ain’t too old. When I was eight my Dad used to take me to work with him on the weekends after he worked all week workin fence lines installing chain link mostly. We made a deal , he hated my music, we decided to rotate music. I got to listen to my music for an hour and then he got to listen his for an hour. He let me go first. Although had taken me to work on and of for years after that I never played another hour of my music after that first hour. Over my life Ives worked hundreds of hours with your dads songs in my ears and if he never told you I’m sure he’s proud of you. You have a new fan here , thank you

After reading a lot of these comments, it seems that that the infiltration of Nashville, is complete. I'm not American but a Kiwi, who grew up listening To the likes of Waylon, Willie, Johnny, Charly P, Kris, Dollly, and a whole bunch more. Over the past 50 years, the watering down of country music has taken hold. Back in the day the oullaws were the real voices. What is their Legacy? These younguns like Whey here! And the grand nippers of the old guard. Ultimately what talks is gold. And the way that it can be made to talk volumes is to support these younguns, is through sales of their music online. Not through regular channels, but through the likes of You Tube etc. Supporting sales of their music through online channels. It be fair to say that if those who are producers are not making money they ain't gonna be in business for long. And by not supporting these phoney producers, ultimately that will break Nashville. And the stranglehold the "PC" left have on it. Everything in this day and age is a "Spiritual battle" against unseen powers and Principalities. These Powers and Principalities have already lost but they need to be evicted. Hopefully someone in that neck of the woods might see this message and "get it" and "take point".
You can do your Grandfather's music all you like; however, one day you will find your own path. Show us what you got kid. Your Grandfather's was a leader in country music; so, pick up that pen, and let those heart strings sing.
