🇨🇦 One of the most beautiful places on earth is British Columbia, specifically the "Sunshine Coast" region, which is on the southern coast of BC, but have you ever heard of it?
We're guessing the answer is no, and we want to change that, with a video tour of this photogenic paradise. We're talking green green inlets, islands, spectacular sunsets, hikes, ferries, seaplanes and the one and only Skoomumchuck Narrows!
The first part of the episode takes you to the Sunshine Coast's most popular spots: Gibsons, Roberts Creek, Sechelt, Egmont, Skookumchuck, Powell River and Lund, and in part 2, Jefferson Graham has photo tips about how he got some of his cool shots that are seen in the video.
In next week's installment, the journey continues, with a water taxi across the Sound to a remote, somewhat deserted island called Savary.
Music by Jefferson Graham, Janna Graham and Paul Ellis

Thank you!! one of my favorite places on Earth! I lived on Savary Island the summer of 1986, and spent a lot of time at Saltery Bay where i lost my crazed 22lb Russian Blue cat 'Mithril' ...after 3 months on and off wilderness camping and THREE Bear encounters...I found him on the last day of summer before heading back to UBC (actually a old Indian gent found him at his smoked salmon shed and brought him to me at my campsite..now weighing 9 lbs and ripped open by a Racoon!!)..True story! He became Mithril "Bear" and passed away 18 years later on his 21st birthday with me in Singapore 12,500 miles away from B.C...
NZ crew checking in. Great video
Thanks so much! Happy new year!
What a beautiful part of the world. Nice photo tips at the end, too.
Thanks Jan!
Great video! Sorry we couldn't connect when you were here. Glad you enjoyed your visit.
Thanks for watching! Love your videos and hope to connect next year when we continue up the road to Desolation Sound!
I’ve been to Vancouver a number of times but never realized that the Sunshine Coast was there. Thank you!
Thanks as always for watching!
A wonderful Sunshine Coast!❤ Does the photo need an extra track on the video shot? Would rather see the Natural and see its own Wonders instead.😆
Thanks for watching
40 minutes ferry, 4 hours sitting in line. Bring your own water. :)
Nicely done!
Thanks J!
Thank you so much sir for this hidden gem of a channel I just discovered! Cheers from Calgary
Thanks for discovering PhotowalksTV. How'd you find it?
Lovely Video.
Hello Shravster! Thanks.
Hope you had a great visit! Going to share on Sunshine Coast BC Canada Facebook page. Thanks!!
Thanks for the share! Really appreciate it!
Canada is beautiful. Your videos are nice.
Thank you JC--one of the greatest places in the world!
Moved to the SC 6 years ago, Perfect for me.
Lucky you! So beautiful.
The owners of Savary subdivided the island into 2000 tiny lots which were going for $999k last time I checked…
that’s for a partially cleared lot 75x150’
That’s the price of admission on Savary
It was nice in the 80s
Wish I had bought back then!
Shhhh, keep it a secret!
About how long was this trip? Wondering how much time to set aside, thanks!
We were there two weeks. Have also done it in a week. From Vancouver: weekend in Gibson’s. If more ambitious: Gibsons first two days, stay overnight at Ruby Lake day three, ferry to Powell River for three days and spend as much time as you can in Savary Island. This help?
Please respect the people that live here we like peace and quite. Respect our beaches and our wildlife. We have lots of bears, dear, elk raccoons, coyotes and cougar.please keep your dogs on a leash and the speed limits. We would appreciate it if you placing your garbage in bins, respect that we have water restrictions and fire bans. Please leave your loud motorcycles and vehicle at home. The Sunshine Coast is our home, please respect that it's not your playground.
I lived on Porpoise Bay Road when I was in grade school. The family then moved to southern ontario. What on Earth were they thinking?
Now, my father is buried in Sechelt.
The Sunshine Coast will always be hallowed ground to me.

Too bad your opening statement was recorded while the ferry's safety announcements were coming over the load speakers in the background.
I live here, stop saying its underdeveloped, dont need anymore tourists
Crap.
