People do now too you just don’t see what they see. Fashion isn’t a one size fits all. It’s fluid and always changing and evolving. You may not like today fashion but that doesn’t mean it’s not fashionable. It also could be your nostalgic for the past fashion and so you don’t have that connection with today’s fashion. Also most people can’t afford a dress that expensive. There’s also the idea of glamorizing the past when in reality if you were in that generation you’d say the same thing about the ones before you.
Its amazing how modern they look! He was way ahead of his time with fashion! None of it looks outdated at all. Kudos to the man who made the dresses, he certainly made them with love and passion.
It’s the mark of a great designer - when a dress looks good today as it did nearly 70 plus years ago - there are very few designers that can say the same. His designs are timeless and will look good in another 100 years I’m sure :).

The sari was popular, with a modest choli, or the salwar kameez. Marilyn's orange dress likely inspired future bollywood designs because Hollywood has always been so influential. We will never know for sure what inspired each piece in his collection because William died in 1990.
