This is Afrobeats and am shocked the world dont see what Kelly Rolland did here. This song is an experiment whose time will come to be appreciated pretty soon. Well done Ms Kelly
Instant classic! I like how that Fela "sample sound" takes us all the way back to afrobeat's origins. This is one of the most unique tracks (production wise) that I've heard (of its kind) in a while. This type of beat could inspire a whole new sub genre 🤞! I hope it introduces a new generation to Fela, as well as other original creators who pioneered afrobeat from its roots to it's current manifestations. Hopefully, international collabs & cross cultural "pollination" like this will become the new normal.
