They have similar elements like the dancing, colors, style, etc. But there's a lot of cultural differences present within this one group of people. Like yeah, we're all black but the distinction between the two don't nullify that at all. That's how I understood it.

ROOTED, in my opinion, depicts some of the issues that we are currently experiencing in black culture.
