  • Lots of cutting with a base line runner.

I know I'm a bit late to the party on this video, but for anyone who runs Blocker/Mover this is a great zone system to compliment that offense. You still have that wheel motion and dribble top action, but instead of baseline running the opposite guard flashes high post. We got great looks when we would hit the blockers in the short corner and have that flashing guard dive down the middle. You could have your opposite blocker flash high post after the guard vacates, but I always told them to screen the bottom defenders while the guard with the ball occupies the top two guards on the dribble top action. We got some good looking 3s that way.

I like this offense. Installed it with my 8th grade team today. My question is, how do you get that post player screen for the baseline runner if she follows the ball? It’s better if she’s opposite the ball.

Glad I've found your channel. Finally a good channel with videos explaining concepts that utilizes high school aged females. As a girls' coach it's disappointing when every video out there is of males running some offense. There are simply nuances to basketball that guys will be able to do and girls can't.

I love making the 1st pass to the LEFT SIDE, because 90% of teams usually start their positions with a pass to the right side. Guarantees more ball reversal too because kids want to attack right baseline.

    Hi Bill
Question when you pass the ball to the right wing and your flasher, flashes middle and pops to the top and your right wing throw back to the top were does the right wing go after pass is made? If they all replace each other.
    Also great video.

Hi Kenneth, If the flasher pops to the top and the wing passes to her she just stays put. You're always going to have those top 3 spots filled. If the right wing decides to dribble up (an action I love), it needs to happen before the flasher pops. I dont like the flash cutter popping out too quickly. the flasher then replaces the wing and is almost always open because the zone defender followed the dribbler (if that makes sense)
