Bond (Pierce Brosnan) interrogates Zukovsky (Robbie Coltrane) but is cut off, quite literally.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
James Bond, the world's greatest secret agent, is sent once more into the breach in the name of Queen, Country, and a dry martini. In the 19th Bond adventure, 007 (Pierce Brosnan) must resolve a potentially deadly power struggle between two unstable nations, with control of the world's oil supply as the ultimate prize. Bond is assigned as bodyguard to Elektra King (Sophie Marceau), the daughter of a petroleum magnate who was brutally murdered, and is trying to foil the fiendish plot of Renard (Robert Carlyle), a villain who was shot in the head with an unusual result: he cannot feel physical pain, an apparent failing that proves to be a considerable asset. Denise Richards appears as Dr. Christmas Jones, an expert on nuclear weapons, alongside Desmond Llewelyn as Q, Judi Dench as M, Samantha Bond as Miss Moneypenny, and John Cleese as R. I think that they just sent in the closest force to Bond, which happened to be the tree trimmers.
Zuchovsky was still in the place and was usefull for their business so they coudln't just shot a missile into it
This is the exact problem with the Peirce Brosnan era Bonds, they are crazy and stupid and make no sense, littered with crazy gadets, attractive women and rediculous impossible stunts.
I mean the company name of the evil villian that's trying to kill you on the side of their helicopter, not to mention the Z4 that thinks it's 'Brums' German cousin 🙄

Willie Gordon I believe Halle Berry is the worst performed Bond girl. Yeah, Denise is pretty bad in this movie, but that's nothing compared to the shitty acting coming from Halle Berry. At least Denise Richards rarely tends to piss me off.

This is my order of favourite Pierce Brosnan films from high to low,
1 the BEST debut of Pierce Brosnan as 007 Goldeneye is a masterpiece with a powerful plot with awesome intense action.
2 The World Is Not Enough still awesome great plot but can't beat Goldeneye.
3 Tomorrow Never Dies fun action but alright awesome Villian though
Then 4 Die Another Day. Not that good action was very fun not his best. Bet hey I liked Pierce as bond he's awesome. :)

4. Goldeneye it has flaws! To begin with, the race between a DB5 and a 355 F1. Totally not real. Alec surviving the fall from that crazy height (after an explosion and a bullet through his head). I enjoy all 4 of them but each newer movie has impressed me more.
As a Russian, Zhukovsky's accent is so nice.
Don't care what anyone says, this film rocked.
The major complaint was Denise Richards not being believable, but there are enough smoking hot nerds out there to counter that argument. Plus, it's Denise Richards.
Could have been worse if this film was made today. Would have been Kim Kardashian instead.
Armando L. Denise Richards is 1000000% more hotter than Kim. I think the most beautiful hair colour is light brown as it really brings out you facial features and Kim look alright before surgery but not on the same universe as Denise (most beautiful women ever imo)

I always thought this movie was better than people give it credit… All hot bond girls good and bad, scenes with valentine always a win, cool gadgets and special effects, cool villain… What the hell more do people want out of these movies?
The problem is Dennis Richards acting is awful and some of the action scenes the way they are staged and edited makes them slow and unengaging and most of them happen for the sake of action and it has got interesting ideas but doesn’t go all the way Skyfall which is essentially a remake of this is a better film it isn’t a bad one but it could have been better it is a 6.9/10

Michael Apted wasn't known for action, but he added a lot of great action scene in The World Is Not Enough. The Caviar Factory was my favourite scene in The World Is Not Enough.

I found out recently...that the mulit-bladed saw thing hanging off the helicopter..is a real thing. Its used to trim trees near power lines in Canada.

They use it earlier in the film to trim trees near the pipeline.
those helicopter saws are still in use, hell if you have a bird with thick enough rotor blades you can even trim and prune trees

I don't care what people think of this movie. I loved it for the first time I saw it. I know a lot of you people think I have bad taste but this is the first bond movie I ever saw when I was little. I love this movie so much. I've always had a thing for Christmas Jones she's so damn hot. :)

Brosnan is the greatest Bond, wit, fun, charming , smooth and saracastic. The elegance is gone with Daniel. It should be more like Roger Moore did it and Brosnan was the closest to that!

+Firemarioflower i enjoyed this movie a lot, specially after reading the book. things got more clear. One problem is that people did'nt understood who was the true vilain! It was renard or elektra!? Some people still believe that was renard, that he corrupt her innocence! Those who understood that was Elektra, they didnt like it, for some reasons!
1- world domination: Elektra didnt want to conquer the world, she already had it. The pipelines were the most important thing in world. for the fans, true vilain, must want to conquer the world
2-daddy issues. most people thought her motivations were superficial. But the fact that they didnt realized is that the main theme of this movies was betrayal.
3- vilain was in fact a woman, and bond fans, some dont like it. vilain must be a man
4- Renard was no super henchman like jaws, stamper or even Oodjob. He was a henchman in love with the vilainess
5-Bondgirl (denise richards) was terrible. I do agree here, Denise was such horrible choice for this role. She didnt had chemistry with Pierce, unlike sophie Marceau.
6-why did bond didnt kill Elektra when he suspect she was evil? After punchline of Renard "you can't live if you can't feel alive" and pressing bond injured shoulder. He knew Elektra was evil, yet he still wanted to give her 2 chance. Why? the answer comes with Alek betrayal (like Mr King did to her) and Paris Carver Death. He felt her pain while been Betrayed, and he still felt the pain of Paris Death for not been there to save her.
7-why Bond mourn her death? Because she was used in game, just like he was. She was betrayed, psychological and physical tortured, and she had to use her body to stay alive, just like him. But sadly she change leads, and make her own revenge on the world. He wanted to bring her out of that darkness that he knew so well.
8- For the first time, there was a love story.... till there, people was not used to such theme. Fans knew the bondgirl would fall for James charmes in the end. Not even Paris story was full developt. The love story between Renard-Elektra, Elektra-James was ridiculous (not even Tracy was interesting love story, it was typical bondgirl love interest) twisted and complex.

4. how is he not super if his body can take a lot and be pushed to higher boundaries, and he feels no pain.
5. Pierce told something else at the Hong Kong press conference.
6. That's because he was in doubt.
His job was to protect her and killing her would get him in trouble with MI6. He first wanted to PROVE M she wasn't so innocent as she appeared at first. He never kills if there's only SUSPECT. and after he confronts her, Elektra had good exuces that made him doubt.
Bond is always like that. He is consistent to turn girls to good, like he did with the villainess in THunderball and Pussy Galory (succesfully) in Goldfinger. Even in Russia with Love he made the girl change side because of her love for him.
Even Kara in Living Daylights gets a second chance.
7. Then why shoot her ?
8. EHHHHHHM wrong. Living Daylights was a love story, On Her Majesty's Secret Service the guy even got married.
Even in from Russia with Love it was serious.

I remember how much i wanted a z8 when i saw this movie. But I gotta say, 3:28, what a great idea. Want a manumatic, but sequential +/- and paddles don't cut it for you? Introducing robostick, the stickshift that you literally see shifting itself when you push the autobutton. On manual, just use it like a classic manual. When you're tired, push Auto, and robostick shifts itself. $5000 dollar option on your BMW.

The Caped Crusader Die Another Day is my all time favorite Bond film. I'ts got everything you wish for in a James Bond film.
It's funny, that the best Bond film in the world is followed by the WORST.
Casino Royale was so shit and annoyingly many idiots claim it the best??? And say that Die Another Day is the worst?? WTF??.
Luckily with Quantum of Solace (also hated for no reason and Craig's best one so far) it became better and his last 2 films were also pretty cool.
The Caped Crusader At least Brosnan brought the fun side back instaed of the harsh, gritty ones like Craig, Dalton and Connery did.
I love Pierce's style, wit, charm, sense of humor, sarcasm, delivery and seriousness when needed.
He's sharp dresser and also does the 'straightening his tie 5 seconds after he leaves an intense hot battle or chase, moving to his next destination'.
He's a smooth Bond. I like it, he's got that funky vibe that Roger Moore also had.

Rumour has it that BMW were so pissed off after seeing what they did to the Roadster that 007 used that they refused to let the film company have any more and terminated the contract hence in Die Another Day he's got the Aston Martin.

The Roadster was a foamcore replica in this scene. In any case, most cars that get 'provided' to Bond films tend not to stay in one piece...
