    Shubham Karoti Kalyanam" is a Sanskrit prayer often recited in Indian households, especially during the evening when lighting lamps. It translates to "May the auspiciousness be created.
    Shloka :
    शुभं करोति कल्याणमारोग्यं धनसंपदा ।
    शत्रुबुद्धिविनाशाय दीपज्योतिर्नमोऽस्तुते ॥
    Translation :
    śubhaṃ karoti kalyāṇam-ārogyaṃ dhanasaṃpadā |
    śatrubuddhi vināśāya dīpajyoti-namo'stute ||
    śubhaṃ karoti kalyāṇam-ārogyaṃ dhanasaṃpadā : “May this bring auspiciousness, welfare, health, and wealth”.
    This line expresses a wish for positivity, prosperity, good health, and financial abundance through the light.
    śatrubuddhi vināśāya dīpajyoti-namostute :”I bow to the light of the lamp that destroys the intellect of enemies”.
    This line conveys respect for the light, which is believed to eliminate negative thoughts and intentions from adversaries.
    This shloka is recited while lighting the lamp (deepam). Light is considered a symbol of auspiciousness, prosperity, and abundance in many cultures. Lighting a lamp in the pooja (place of worship) room twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, is a common ritual of Hindu tradition.
