Every law enforcement officer in America should be required to watch this. Caring respect for your fellow man and physical force can happen at the same time. This is beautiful.
@Steve G yep i am a blackbelt and train a bunch of LEO. It should be a requirement. The first 1 hour should be bjj followed by 7 hour shift they would get any pent up anger out and would be better decision makers.
I agree, that’s what they do in Japan. A black belt in Judo is required to be in law enforcement

Sometimes some people are just born into very bad parenting and family upbringing, and a bad environment. Sometimes some people are literally made miserable and evil by necessity. It's not always the case everyone gets to 'rise above it.', good luck telling psychopaths to 'rise above' their lack of empathy or lying, or sociopaths to 'rise above' their lying tendencies, or narcissists to 'rise above it', when their self image is threatened, or to tell some people with traumatic experiences to 'rise above it.' when a person or situation triggers their PTSD.
@@danielnelson3136 you just conflated two entirely separate things
@@UnimportantAcc How have I conflated 2 entirely separate things? First of all, most average people don't behave like the homeless guy getting pinned, and on average those who are homeless tend to have personality defects and are higher in the dark triad: psychopathy, sociopathy, narcissism, manipulation. I'm clearly saying that sometimes telling others to 'rise above it' or a misbehavior, is simplistic because that person is ignorant of many developmental factors like Spiral Dynamics stages of development(by Don Beck), cognitive and moral development, personality types and traits, 9 stages of ego development(by Jane Loevinger), states of being/becoming, self images and social roles, Carl Jung's Architypes, all other lines of development from societal to personal life(by Ken Wilbur), to ideological beliefs indoctrinated by culture and societal programing, and self biases and preferences. In particular environmental conditions and family upbringing growing up. For instance those who grow up in poorer parts, in slums, in ghettos, you cannot just tell them to 'rise above it' when the person has to deal with liars, cheats, hustlers, fraudsters, scammers, con artists, swindlers, grifters, those with are in gang cultures, those who do criminal activities, and they're in that type of community in their earlier life.
If I came off as conflating the 2, or downplay the guy's heroic efforts, no. I'm just saying that it's much harder and more difficult for some people to 'rise above it' when they're that deeply hurt and programmed not too, also having to deal with various addictions. I'm sorry if you misunderstood my points here, I was communicating in good faith and good will.

This is why my training kicked in, in this video , I hope the guy turns his life around. You should watch the Gracie breakdown I did with Rener
@@idrizredzovic6551 your amazing bro I know your students are lucky to have you as a sifu
This is the true art of healing, this is the true foundation of the warrior ethos. Warriors are fixers, not destroyers, we never use our hands unless we intend to help. Warriors come in many shapes and sizes, and battle infinite types of fronts. My biggest battle is to never leat fear drive the wheel and cause me to use more force then necessary, or to use force in a way that causes an unintended consequence ie a knockout blow on the concrete causing a head injury. I would follow up with police, I would show up to his court hearings, I would make sure this man wouldn't ever be left in desperation again. Someone has to be the guardians of the broken, and the desperate.
Try to convince a dog that has been beaten by rhe only humans it ever had known, it will snap at you, it will growl, it will cry screams of pain, just from being pet or held, but never show fear, or anger, in time, that dog will love you with that real love, that love we real people know is the love of an unconditional kind.
This man may have saved another's man life by handling it this way.
Great Citizen.. Awesome Job.. very polite and compassionate..❤️❤️❤️
‘I got my own kids’ other guy: we all got problems. Lol
He held him down and took a video at the same time.. legendary
The world needs more people like this. A valuable lesson in physical restraint when someone is acting a fool. More police officers really should watch and learn from this. Kudos to you man.
Your rasis
@@coldhardtruth233 Number 1, don't call anyone anything you can't even spell correctly. 2. If the guy was any other skin color my response would be the same. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
@@xSiegex916 get a rise out ya
The only thing is that the Police is not here for The “Kind Service of protecting and serving the citizens “ but to harass and intimidate and escalate shit. Unfortunately.. the latter is what the police, reflect more of.
What a kind gentle soul 💖 perfect example of masculinity
Those 3 cops would’ve been in there struggling with that one guy lol.
This is what mercy -
compassion toward someone who it's within your power to punish
- looks like. Thank you Sir.
I appreciate the kind words. What I did in this video was noting special to be honest any one who trains could of done the same thing. Glad no one got hurt.
You are the best .
For fuck sake just type without trying to sound like Morgan freeman
Your a Good Dude...
World needs more folks like you
The world needs heros 😇🙏💯
I appreciate, the You Getting the Water at the End...
He prolly won't get a decent Drink until someone Bails him out or they let him go...
Just small things where You can tell Someone Really Cares ...
Stay Hydrated out there..
Great job dude!!! We need more citizens like yourself!
Welcome to crazy ass America!!

@TopGSteve Not speaking in that sense dude... But I get what you're saying.
Bless you dude!
Amazing restraint! Anyone else could have pummeled this guys face in. He was already probably having the worst day of his life and jiu-jitsu practitioner controlled him perfectly without throwing one punch. This is why I love jiu-jitsu, the control/scalability. If he wanted to, he could have easily put him to sleep if it got worse. Luckily he chose to de-escalate. Great work 🙏🏻🥋 A real martial artist right there
That's what it's designed to do. Maximize control! #bjjforlife!
He had him in the gift wrap
I can't lie, I would have had to bloody him up some. Lol
Should of given him a racooning
When you’re forced to restrict your own airways thats when you don’t fight whoever it is enforcing it 😂
"Stop. You're increasing my stress."
This guy is amazing. Wow. That was impressive.
Thank you for helping to clean up the streets.
Man can take his Phone out while restraining him. Hilarious. This is why I love Jiu Jitsu. Puts you tiers above the average joe
.... and it helps to be ripped like that, too 8-)
Well the lil dude was drunk and not huge. But this guy's arms are huge and he knows choke holds. His height body mass makes for great low to the ground grappling
Until they whip out a gun and blow your brains out. You just need a little finger muscle for one of those.
Joe already know that jiu jitse is good, he can't stop talking about it 🤣
it's so popular now though. Everyone does jiu jitsu here it seems lol. So need something new to put is above average Joe
Holy crap... Most people simply won't realize just how long time 15 minutes actually is when wrestling someone in a live situation. The stress in this situation is real. Not making him take a nap at any point during this ordeal took a lot of kindness, courage, and strength!
He sits on in, what about it strictly shut up you ass creeper strong. It sucks.
Because if he was to go to far as to knock him out when he could simply subdue the criminal and get him arrested he could be sued by the criminal sad reality but things like that actually happen.
We're is wrestling?
It feels long but it's nothing insane. CPR, speaking from experience, is far worse.
@Alex Robinson speaking from experience in both CPR and wrestling, wrestling is far more exhausting. We didn't see what happened before the video started. Adrenaline and the what the body goes through in a physical altercation is harder on the body than CPR. CPR is exhausting as well, especially wearing turnouts and trying not to fall over while standing in the back of an ambulance though.
This guy is utterly awesome!
Your a Saint brother!
I would have lost my patience with this man and silenced him for a bit
Respect to you homie good job on deescalating that situation respect to you man, we need more people like you and more people trained like you. You saved people from getting seriously hurt or a situation that could have totally got out of control fast, good job man hats off to you!!!
He trained his whole life for that moment
It's so nice to know that true heroes exist.
