What is the buyer thinking when they buy a photo with a replaced sky? Would they buy if the description said sky replaced? Is it fair to the photographer who waited hours for a better real sky? Just things to think about.
I agree. I wish I could be at every location on that perfect day and have the time to stay for the perfect light. I would definitely not do a sky replacement or add any AI content to a photo when commissioned or on an assignment. That is just my personal ethics. As for stock photography, that is where your scrap goes. There is a lot of digital art on those sites as opposed to photography. Thank you for your insights.
Hi Jason, AI seems to have crept into the photoshop tools. Is content aware fill not using AI? I’m frequently cleaning up my stock images with content aware fill. My justification for doing that is the fact that I’m not introducing a new element in the image which wasn’t there when I took the photograph.
Yes it does. I am experimenting with it to help remove people. It seems to sample the area around the selected fill area and uses that to fill in. It appears to be able to create accurate content. I have no problem with removing elements. I've been doing that for years to eliminate distractions. It's when you add a panda bear that was not there. That is when I start calling it art. That is just my opinion.
@@JasonYoder Agreed.
