Are your drafts usually with other experienced drafters? I find my local LGS has a novice draft group that will often throw a wrench in plans just by being very unpredictable. For example, I was playing in a draft recently and kept getting passed OBarrages and thought Green Villain must be open and I could look for Imperials for Tarkin. Only to find out a new drafter went Tarkin Red and just was passing on the barrages. But he was taking every available imperial and really limited the card pool in that way. Not sure how to account for that.
Yeah, we have a consistent group of people here for drafts. My only losses in the past two drafts have been to the exact same person. This last draft, he was seated two seats to the left of me and on Palpatine and two Leias for his selection of leaders. When I passes two Leia’s from my leader selection, I was hoping it would help dilute the green pool. Unfortunately, neither of them went with Leia so more green was available than I expected. It’s one of the reasons that I decided to pivot to green to deny some of the power cards from his pool. Luckily, when I chose to pass on Overwhelming Barrage to take the money card (Cunning), it was when packs were going to the right.
I second the other comment. Draft gameplay is my fave! I’m hoping to pick up a stand and record the next draft we do but it’s only once a month locally

Good luck! Draft is my favorite format as it includes the skill of deck building and selection on the fly.
Still hoping for some gameplay as well :)
