Let me just say this… I’m a father of two boys aged 14 and 17 and they wanted to watch soccer aid this year with me purely based on the fact that Simon was playing. I would’ve been quick to tell my kids it’s okay there are better players on the pitch so he just won’t be able to get enough play time but I’d be wrong. I’ve watched a few charity matches with the kids and from what I’ve seen Simon is very good on the ball and I do think he could’ve influenced the game a lot more. Bare in mind the MOTM who scored two goals had to get specific football training to get better on the ball, this time last year he was nowhere near that level. Garret is good but he’s nowhere near Simon’s level and Simon could’ve done the same if not better in his shoes. Simon has been playing football consistently on CZcams from what I know for atleast a decade because that’s how long my kids have been interested in him and the sidemen whereas garret only got football training this year to be at a mediocre level, he couldn’t even kick a ball this time last year!!!

Especially when at the start of every season they rip it all up and put a new one down anyway.

Love Iain Sterling but asking for £40 donations? The tories have rinsed this country so much that people are having to live off of £40 per week, let alone donate it to charity. So these CZcamsrs bring in viewers, and since it's for charity, that means they bring in donations. Which means they deserve to respected just as much as everyone else in the game.

Let's face it, Bolt lost this game for the World XI. He disobeyed a professional coach in Poch by refusing to come off when it was clear that he had nothing left, was already half injured & was having a shocker bar the assist. Had he walked off & not been stretchered off then it might still have only been 3-2.
