  • Today I built an FPV RC (AtomRC Dolphin) plane that flies at incredible speeds. It is overpowered with a 6 cell lipo battery and a 2400kv brushless drone motor.

You can achieve 120 mph with a 3s battery with the right plane and parts.

Honestly, what I would do is take all these parts... make a mold of each one, THEN, if any of the parts break, you've got your mold and you can make ANY part that you want again with foam and it'll be perfect. Then besides motors batteries etc, you'll never have to invest any more money into your plane again. If you 3D scan the shapes somehow, you could increase the size a certain amount and perhaps 3D print them out? Just ideas but I'd love to mess around and try those things. Being a Tool & Die Maker I feel very confident in making it work. Now I have kids to watch all the time but later when I have more free time, I'll get into something like this. I love electronics, until then, the tech will just get better and better.

I wish i knew how to make molds for a couple of foam planes i have...but where do you buy epo or epp foam that can be mixed and pored in a mold?...i have become an expert at repairing crashed and destroyed foam planes over the years, but learning to make perfect foam replacement parts would be very cool...do you know of any channels that have tutorials on making rc plane parts? ANYway thanks for sharing..

Hey, can you tell me something? Why would it need 6s on a 2400kv motor? With a 6x6e prop and 4s what would be the outcome? Isnt 6s an overkill? On a motor of about 2200 kv if i remember correclty and a 7x6 prop on 6s, I got 140amps and 3000watts!!!

and why would you use a 40amp 6s esc you should have gotten the 60 amp 6s esc thats what I have on my sonic modell pro 1000m with 1400kv v3 sunnysky motor

Nah hee wing f01 is the fast one.. 6s 2300kv 2207 or JUST f80 5x7 And 60amp esc (not that it needs the amps but needs the size to not desolder the cables) .. you'll do 200mph easy
