- Fire Ando was back at Tsukuba in the ESCORT Evo 9 looking for that 49-second lap.
Would this be the day?
HKS and Nob Taniguchi were also out testing the new GR86 demo car.
I was pulling tripe duty this day, supporting Sougo in his first run of the season, shooting as usual, and driving my Prelude for the first time this season as well.
That meant I wasn't able to get coverage of all entrants this day so apologies if you don't see times for some cars that you see in the video.

That Prelude looks clean but also with the right amount of aggression. You have a nice set-up all round. It’s also nice to see the less common euro R accord and cd7 accord sedan prepped for the track. Congrats on being the fastest prelude at Tsukuba circuit👏

This was an awesome day in terms of entrants with so many Accords.

It's ok for the moment but not exactly the way I envision it.
Hoping to continue developing the car for next season.
Congratulations on your PB. Was it the jun prelude you beat? I'm not sure if I remember. But last I check you were not running a tuned ECU? A euro r intake manifold, and I'm assuming you have a header /exhaust and a tune would work wonders. Love the prelude!
Thanks! It was a different BB4 that was stripped out, unlike the Jun Prelude, and had a full Jun motor with ITBs that ran in Attack Tsukuba 2017.
I currently only have I/H/E but yes, a tune would be nice.

How does the GR86 look in terms of a track car platform? 1:01.9 should be respectable considering first time on track and just bolt on mods on 265 A050s?
It seems like most agree that the new model has improved greatly over the predecessor.
It is very fast for what is is/has.
Looking forward to seeing more privateers run them soon hopefully.
