If you liked the bean dip maybe one of the next things Atlanta can follow a recipe for is 7 layer dip. It's a pretty common food for people to have at parties, and especially Super Bowl parties.

I once attended a funeral where the Lutheran "Church Ladies" supplied 3 dozen, slightly different, 7 Layer Dips. 🤣 Apparently, it was the "guest of honor's" go to potluck dish. I loved how everyone thought THEY were the only one to remember her in this way. And I think of that day whenever I hear of, or see 7 Layer Dip. 😇

Careful with that Toxic Waste. I once ate the whole barrel worth in one sitting and the next day I had skin peeling off of the inside of my cheeks and my tongue lol. Definitely more of an "every so often" treat.
You can't sue them either because the name implies health detriment. It's toxic waste.
I ate 7 at a time and I lost my taste for half a day. I love sour though.

Y'all should try chili with Fritos instead of saltine crackers, optional add jalapeno peppers and top with cheese but definitely if y'all ever had chili use Fritos instead of crackers

My family likes to put Fritos, cheddar cheese and sour cream in our chili for a good taste.
I like cheezitz in my chili, I put so much it's almost dry lol
I just remember having 'chili boats' at church and sports (or scouts, etc.) fall festivals. Take a small bag of fritos, dump in a scoop of chili, add little shredded cheese, and eat it out of the bag with a spoon. Easier to serve, kinda portion controlled, and less mess than using bowls when everyone (especially kids) is mobile and socializing. If you drop it, it's more contained, and less trash than if everyone randomly threw a bowl in the trash.

I love the Andy Capp fries! They are a staple of the vending machines at work, and are great along side a tuna salad sandwich.

Boxes take a long time to get through customs in many cases, especially when there is food involved. I remember years ago, while teaching in China, a friend sent me a box of stuff for me and for my students. Well, the box almost never came. Somehow it got rerouted to Australia and just sat there. By the time I did get it, the Pop-tarts were Pop-dust! I think the candies for the kids were okay, but it was almost the end of the school year!

Well, I do recall buying them for my kids in one of those specialty candy stores in the mall, but they were more impressed with the huge plastic tubes they could fill with any color they wanted. That and sour gummies and polished chunks of candy that look like real rocks and gemstones.
Talk about a sugar rush!
And if you're Mexican, they sell little tubes on the street that are full of chili powder and salt instead of sugar, look just like Pixie Sticks. 😁

Yeah, when I think pop rocks, I put them in the same category as Dips (with the candy sticks), Fruit Stripe Gum, and Candy Cigarettes (which are now sold as sticks, with the obvious cigarette packaging, that no longer says "cigarettes" on it 🤣🤣🤣)

5:19 Many seaside resorts started making 'salt water taffy'. No constituents of the ocean are in the candy. You will love it. My fave has always been banana flavored. Just a few drops of hot sauce in the bean dip makes it just a little bit better too. 😀

The name "Salt Water Taffy" was started in 1883 when an oceanfront Boardwalk candy shop got flooded. A customer came in and asked if they still had any candy left and the owner joked saying "All I have left is salt water taffy!" because of the salty sea water 🌊 that had come in the store and the name stuck. There isn't much difference between "Salt Water" Taffy and "regular" Taffy other than the Salt Water designated type usually is softer by design because of the old style recipes and some others like the "Laffy Taffy" brand and others can be harder or stiffer.
Next package will be antacids and or pepto bismol .... lol, j/k! you guys are so fun to watch trying out the simplest happiness and joys in life!! really uplifting!

When I was a boy, we considered TOXIC WASTE to be playground candy. We would bet to see who could keep the straightest face while eating them during recess. It was a shame you ate all the POP ROCKS. You should try them with a swig of soda pop!

Depending on how long that salt Water Taffy has been sitting, it may have gotten hard. A couple of seconds in the microwave (I mean a couple) can wake it back up. Should be soft and chewy.

I’m curious: if one family member really loves a particular snack or candy more than everyone else, does that person get to keep the rest of it to himself/herself after the family finishes filming? For example: Nadine likes sour candy much more than anyone else. Can she keep the remaining Toxic Waste to herself? Atlanta alone loves Dr. Pepper; can she have all of it?

Violet candy was given to me all throughout my childhood so I quite enjoy it. On the other hand, everyone that I've introduced it to had the same reaction that you guys had. I feel that violet candy is one of those things that are nostalgic to people, kind of like balut, surstromming, or natto.
When I was a kid my mother always had a pack of those mints in her purse, they have a unique flavor but I never found it to be the flavor of soap.. lol!

They taste kind of floral but I love them. I ate them as a child while my teen siblings ate the violet mints or gum after smoking to hide the smell.
Me neither. Unique, different, flowery, yes, (because, ya know, violets) but not soapy. But I guess, if you're used to violet-scented soap, I can see how you might make such an association, maybe.

I used to eat the Toxic Waste/Warheads all the time until one day, I ate too many consistently that the skin on my tongue peeled off and left an open wound. LOL
These wounds won't seem to heal, this pain is just too real, there's just so much that time cannot Erase!

Hello my New Zealand family. I just bought you salt water taffy that’s made here in Salt Lake City. But ours is the best taffy ever, in fact my dad worked for Sweets Candy Company in the 40’s.
My mother used to buy me lots of those smoke stacks with the cheese because I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was 10 in 1999. It's great protein for keeping blood sugars level while at school. She passed away in 2011 but that brought me back to one of the reasons she was a good mother to me. ❤

Not scrolling through to see if everyone said this already - but bean dip is AMAZING when heated with some grated melted cheese, and then add salsa or a bit of sour cream - next level.
I'm from New Jersey & I grew up on salt water taffy from Douglas fudge in Wildwood. My favorites were the lemon & the peppermint. Instead of little balls they are in a stick form & you could watch them pulling the taffy through a window.
Fun fact! Some call cotton candy by the name candy floss because it was originally created by a dentist to make a candy thats not so harsh on the teeth by the original name of Fairy floss, now more commonly known as cotton candy or candy floss. Because of this, we now have one of the most iconic candy treats
