the lack of douglas luiz considerations in these youtube free hit drafts is criminal
he just hasnt been very good away from home
His away form is terrible
I think we can look at points and say he's been incredible but we also need to find continued justification to say he's an essential player, which I don't think he is even on this FH given the away fixture and based on his underlying stats. Is in and around the top 5-6 mids for this GW? Certainly
Not me! I’ve backed him this week, on pens, great one week punt to try jag one of his double-digit hauls all he needs is a goal/assist and one pen and a decent performance by Villa against an average WestHam defence that just conceded 2 to Burnley..
He'll be CDM, so you're banking on set pieces mostly. Not enough. Plus terrible away form.
Actually despite Solanke had a terrible game 1.( slipped taking a Pen...robbed on a Goal and a non call on a penalty late game ) having a green 💚 so far !!
awesome! to be fair a lot of people seemed to have captained Solanke anyways so most our gains are going to come from non-Solanke points. Onwards and upwards :)

I think I will go very template with the free hit as that is a differential in of itself this week with many not being able to field 11. I do see the Nottingham Forest vs Luton game as being that upside fixture as while Luton have been very competitive recently, they are still conceding loads of xG per game. I’m quite drawn to the attacking Forest double up of Wood and Gibbs White as I can see a high scoring game in that fixture while I find the others extremely hard to call.
I like that too - highly thinking about the double up.

do you mean wc26 and fh34? I think if you plan for fh34 just go for more Spurs picks this gw and continue on. Salah for 30/31, rough plan for NEW picks like Isak or defenders like EVE/MCI/LIV ones for 37
Hi Fran. This is my first season. If I play my free hit will my one free transfer roll giving me two ahead of GW 30? If not can I use my free transfer now and will that change remain for gw30 if I free hit after using the free transfer? Hope that made sense.
Your free transfer won't roll over and you'll just go back to your GW 28 team in GW 30 with one free transfer still to use then if you play FH this week. Also your one transfer for this GW won't remain for your GW30 team

Thank you Fran. In your opinion how many points versus non free-hit would you expect to gain set asisde free hit 34? I assume DGW37 is a good opportunity to Bench boost after Wildcard 34/35?
yes bb37 after wc34/35/36 is the best play if you have held and don't have issues navigating around a potential wc30/31. I would expect to gain 15-20 ish points for a fh29. Both fh29 and fh34 are viable, just depends on what your team's state is of course.

I think you're in 50/50 territory - both are options. Hits for players that have future good games like Toney + Spurs are ok imo.

I would take the hit.
Good team. My rank is not as good as yours, so i'm looking at a core 8-9 players (that the non FH's will also have) plus some punts. Managing the downside, with a hope on an upside. 10 points up on the template FH team would be great.
8-9 is a healthy spot to not fh imo. good luck!

I think the fine line is at around 6-7 players. Depends if you want to hold onto your CHE/LIV/MCI picks too. If you can go into 3x Spurs I think you'll be fine to benefit around fh34

Douglas Luiz over Gibbs-white for me but other wise exactly the same lineup. Thinking about Kaminski over Flekken but not much in it. Really thinking about Maddison to Romero to be a bit different Madders would probably hurt me for that though.
Yeah I think I'd definitely back attackers this gw due to the low CS odds but who knows, could pay out handsomely for you

5-6 is borderline imo, could be worth just going fh29
you also recommended petrovic and kaminski for GK but you went for neto and flekken. that’s 9 recommended wildcard picks and you never went for any of them.

Surprised how bullish you are on Mado + Son instead of double spurs defence + Son. Porro + Udogie are levels above the defenders like an injured Regulion or Nico Williams or Robinson, Im not convinced Maddo is levels above the options like MGW/Bailey/DL/Kudos/Paqueta
just comes down to maximizing your ceiling imo but I hear your point. Hedging on Udogie + Porro is a lot of reliance on a sub 25% CS odd for TOT.
@FPLFran Whatever defenders you pick they have less CS odds than Udogie + Porro do this week. They will also have less attacking threat as well.
While Maddo is a great player, I don't agree his ceiling is considerably higher than DL/MGW. I would say that both Porro and Udogie have a much higher ceiling compared to Doughty and Regulion and that difference is more than the difference between Maddo and DL/MGW.
