I remember watching a interview where Ollie said that baby metal offered to do their whole verse in English but he wanted them to do some of it in their native tongue, which is awesome. Love Ollie and this album is so good
Honestly, this is how a real collab is done. Really get annoyed with "collabs" where the featured artist sings like a word or two. This almost feels like 60% Babymetal and 40% BMTH, if you really count the time each group sung in the song..... If you take away the swearing, this song/sound wouldn't be out of place in a Babymetal album, especially their last album Metal Galaxy, which was an experiment with sound, cultures and genres from all over the musical spectrum. 🤘🦊🤘
If you add in the intro part it sounds pretty balanced between the two imo
Im not much of a BMTH fam but they were very smart in how they made this song. Instead of trying to shoe horn Suzuka and Moa into a BMTH song... They essentislly just made a a Babymetal song with BMTH seasoning.

Good reaction. This collab was on the cards for a long time, BMTH and BABYMETAL have been good friends for several years since they first met at a festival in the UK where they were both playing and they have often spoken about wanting to collaborate.
At the end of their 2019 tour BABYMETAL invited BMTH to tour with them in Japan and they opened at 4 of their big arena shows.
BABYMETAL originally sent their contribution for this song all in English, Ollie asked them to include some Japanese. He has also said that the contrast with Su-metal's sweet vocals made him go even harder with his growls and screams.
Kyle - not sure why, before you first heard this, you saw BABYMETAL was featured and thought "...this wouldn't be good". BABYMETAL always make everything they're involved in better.

Im not sure if somone already mentioned it. But in this collab Babymetal had first recorded everything in english and BMTH decided that they want also some japanese parts in the song. And with that i think they reached another level of epicness for it.

Eric needs to experience where Bring Me The Horizon started and how they got to where they are today!! They're one of the few bands that can take any variation of the rock/metal genre and create masterpiece after masterpiece!! One of my favorite bands of all time!!

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 I believe most of BABYMETAL fans appreciate BMTH's call for this collaboration. They made BM known to their fanbase. Literally BMTH brought BM another horizon. As Grinton300 300 commented below, the two group have been good friends for years. Friendship is important. (Vice versa. BMTH appreciated BM's call when they performed in 4 BM shows at 2 huge arenas in Japan held in Nov. 2019)

BMTH performed this year at Southside Festival in Germany and Hellfest Festival, you got a nice proshot version, but of course with only BabyMetal backing track vocals, hopefully one day they will play this together. And recently they played this when live tour in Chile and Brasil.
BMTH couldn't have better collab on their latest album Post Human Survival Horror, there are some others really good songs there thou but this one is just on another level. My suggestions are: "Parasite Eve" and "Teardrops", also "Ludens" from Death Stranding OST videogame.
This song was produced by Mick Gordon, the same behind videogames like Doom, Wolfenstein and Prey, so you can feel the vibes here.
They're friends since a very long time ago so the collab was almost naturally unavoidable.
They even performed as a support band for BabyMetal and Oli praise the Fox God too (atheist, dame, zettai)🦊🤘
You won't find a live performance with both groups on stage but you'll find fancams from BMTH UK tour last year performing this song with BM backtrack sound.
There's a previous instrumental intro on this song called "Itch For The Cure" which is clearly a tribute to Linkin Park song "Cure For The Itch", rare you didn't share that intro to your friend.
There's a short documentary about the making of this song where Oli said interesting things about the method they worked with the BM team and giving multiple choice of doing this.
Since this song came out in 2020 after YuiMetal left the group, only SuMetal and MoaMetal were involved on this, no Kami Band involved on this afaik.

Sugoi! Many years ago, when the girls were only about 14-15 years old, BABYMETAL appeared at their first large festival outside of Japan, where BMTH also performed. Kudos to Oli for being a true gentleman by befriending BABYMETAL & making them feel accepted.

It's EPic for being written, recorded, and prodeced remotely during the lockdown from the lad's each separate homes, written about the pandemic and the panic inducing isolation and how it affected one's enotional and mental health. It was, for many a comfort and way to cope with such a sudden and strange change forced upon the entire planet! ❤️

BMTH is just so good with collaboration in general, this one is just mindblowing, they are coming right where you dont expect them to be ! Same with the collaboration with Ic3Peak, I mean.... OKKKKKKK ! This is so good !! Always with the "what is happening right now" vibe and loving it!

So, ive known of Bring Me The Horizon for a long time, but never got into them because of personal reasons involving a friend of mine who was basically their number 1 fan. I was reluctant to check this song out, but it says a lot to me that because you two specifically reacted to it, I bit the bullet and I'm glad I did. 🤘🏼

I’ve been listening to metal since the mid 80’s, and BabyMetal is in my top 5 bands right now. Try Sis. Anger if you want to see how hard these girls can go, Rondo of Nightmare if you want to see just how talented the band is, and Road of Resistance, live in Japan for some legendary crowd work by girls who weren’t even old enough to drive.
I just saw BMTH in concert a couple months ago and they genuinely put on a phenomenal concert. I'm so glad to see y'all react to this (even if I'm laaaaaaaaaaaate)

These bands got to be friends through being at common festivals, leading to Babymetal bringing BMTH on tour with them. Olly himself has said this is one of his own favorite BMTH songs. We can only WISH for this to be performed live, properly, someday. 🤘🦊🤘

When Kei Kobayashi, Kobametal, first heard Suzuka sing in a pop act called Karen Girl's, he had the inspiration for Babymetal, because he thought her voice was unlimited and she should be in a metal band as metal has no limits. And you see that here. I've never heard Su sing a style she isn't fantastic at. Her voice is versatile.

Personal fav song from BMTH is Suicide Season. First song I heard and fell in love with instantly (second being Throne).

I‘m a huge BABYMETAL fan, and as such I love how much room BMTH have given them in this song. Thanks to them for that! And also thanks to the BMTH fans who seem to be largely appreciative, from what I have heard. I‘m sure many of them had their doubts when they heard about a collaboration with BABYMETAL, but in the end most of them seem to be willing to admit that it turned out great.
Things are always going to sound better with added Babymetal.
