The thing that brought me to metal was the emotion behind the words. So many people just hear screaming and nothing behind it… but the screaming is an enhancement to the feeling behind the words. Seeing Eric react to some of these words makes me happy, and watching Eric’s journey through the metal reactions just puts a smile to my face!
BMTH just has such a wide range of sound....Oli Sykes just pulls at every emotion and the sound follows...Teardrops....Drown....Die 4 U is another off the wall banger too
Great reaction! The Sempiternal album is one of my favorite albums. I think what draws to BMTH the most is the lyrics. Oli has a way of saying things that were hard for me to put into words, so when I heard them for the first time, it really resonated with me. Please explore more of them!
This is why they're my all time fave band. Oli knows how to hit deep with the lyrics and his own voice the way he can change it and do anything. He's really perfection 😭😭
This song and Doomed get me sobbing bc it really explains the way depression feels and that's how I feel alot of times. It really touches deep and this is such a good song too like Oli is really the loml 😭😭😭 that man can feel my heart fr 😂

Twice in my life have I been so emotionally moved by the music that I have cried during a concert. The first time was BMTH performing Drown. This band is amazing, they can pull at your emotions one moment and have you headbanging the next. Hope to see more of them on the channel.

This is my favorite song from this album, possibly of theirs period. It’s catchy, beautiful and the lyrics are so rich plus a great collab. (Kingslayer right behind!)
I put this on the last video, but another great collab touching on mental health but with a positive twist is Bad Life by Sigrid, which Oli guest vocal’d on. It’s a different vibe, much softer, and beautiful!

It's interesting because I've always seen metal as the genre with the most focus on topics like depression and mental health, but I guess maybe that's more true for metalcore and specific bands that I tend to gravitate towards. Either way, you guys need to react to Architects Gone With The Wind! The lyrics in that song are absolutely masterful and touch on the topic of depression very well, among other things. It's one of the last songs that Tom Searle wrote (the guitarist that died, that Doomsday was about) and I don't think you've reacted to any of their older stuff from when he wrote their music.

Mannn I remember when this song came out it put exactly how I was feeling into words, I had a snap memory come up of a long ass message I wrote about how depressed I was to a friend and reading it back it's like someone else wrote it. I'm know where near as happy as I used to be but I'm glad I can look back on those times and realise I'm doing so much better then I was

I absolutely agree you need to dive into BMTH! I loved the journey you went through with Falling in Reverse, and BMTH is a band I consider to be in the same tier as FIR in regards to their creativity, diversity, and overall evolution as a band, so I'm sure you'll enjoy diving into that rabbit hole!

Mental health has come to the forefront lately in rock and metal. A great song for that is Feel Alive by the amazing Aussie band Patient Sixty-Seven. Check out that song and also the reimagined version. You will not be disappointed.
