The Zero series is easily the best series on the GBA.(Mother 3 was only one game in a series that had all its games on different consoles) I remember being 13 and having the Battle Network games and the Zero games. Guess which one I choose to replay over and over. I can honestly say Zero is a hero to me.

Since people are still getting recommended this, I want to bring awareness to the "original" version of this song. This is actually an instrumental of an official song made for the game, titled "Clover". A lot of people don't know it exists and it's honestly a shame. It's in Japanese, but it's super easy to find English subbed versions on YT, and the lyrics are so well made and the way the guy sings lets you know it's a sad song even if you don't know the lyrics. I listened to it a couple times and genuinely started feeling emotional despite not knowing any Japanese, but the singer is so good at conveying the emotion in his delivery. Listen to it if you haven't, it's amazing.
The best melody in the world. Kinda reminds me of my beggining, this was my first Megaman Zero game, i played this on GBA. I couldn't defeat the final boss, my brother came and defeated 'im with 1 HP left. And again, i cleared this on VisualBoyAdvance. Just great. F*CKING AWESOME.

they can always give a game dedicated to Axl,or maybe even reck things up a little and make you play a villain,like Sigma. they can always make a plot hole game,like a game where you are Sigma when he is still the head of the maverick hunters and the stages are stoping different mavericks,Zero as the last boss and plot is about how Sigma is influinced to becoming a maverick by himself,they can also make a game about the elf wars or the time between the Original to the X series...
i agree,the point of the mega man plot was that the Hero is a robot. and now they made a human hero and that recks up the tradition... plus,he just uses the robots powers and sucks a little,i'd rather play as Zero then a human transforming into him XP
@Guergy X is the "I am kind and compassionate but I will still fight for what I believe in" kind of hero while Zero is the "I so badass I don't need to prove myself to you" hero, so they are equally interesting, though I am partial to zero. UNLESS you are talking about the games, which I am also more partial to Zero.
Well, they needed a new angle at the 2d side scrolling megaman franchise when the DS hit because the popularity level was going down. The biggest issue with the ZX series is that they didn't change it enough to make it worth anything except to existing fans. Curse this character count limit. I could write a whole essay on the issues Capcom has with Megaman games.
@xXM1S1DXx What do you mean act like people? everybody act like they wanna act XD the thing is that the new characters aren't as epic as X and Zero and Axl... and the thing that makes them so awesome is the fact they can copy the abilitys of other reploids,but you can just as well double that awesomness if you give such a thing to Zero.
There isn't anything wrong with Sentai or Kamen Rider like themes except that it is more popular in Japan than America. If you don't believe me take a look at the sales figures for games with those themes. =o
@Yurikan honestly i think its enough megaman series were pretty good especially because they allow u to hack the game and become any body u can get a code for. Megaman Zx was great because of the capabilities and u could be omega without a hack yes they could be better but if u want a game with no problems make one urself

Well honestly one of the biggest problems with ZX is that they messed with the whole fighting robot theme, which was part of the selling point. The game was always about a fighting robot (or android), but when ZX came out, the hero was more like a power ranger. Needless to say, they probably should have went with a different storyline after the megaman Zero series.
@xXM1S1DXx So let me get this strait: You believe that megaman games are good because you can hack them and play as any sprite you want. Yet you like ZX because you can play Omega without a hack. You then say that the games could be better, but then you chuck an insult my way to tell me my complaining is pointless. If people don't critique what they play, there will be no improvement on the developers part. We can't all be game developers, but we certainly can give feedback.
Rest in peace Zero. You may never be in Smash Bros, but you will always be in our hearts.

Because the game series was on a hand held, thus the sound track usually gets a second rate seat. It's the same with just about all hand held games.
