An odd thing to say perhaps, but this game might just be my favourite 0-0 of all time, perhaps for how symbolic and historic it was, the shootout representing how there is no justice in football. Poetic that Vieira won the cup with the last competitive kick of his Arsenal career. The commentary by Brackley and Clemence makes it even more memorable, RIP Peter.

Wenger made a huge mistake letting Vieira leave after that season. Fabregas was just breaking into the starting 11, a midfield with Fabregas and Vieira would've been a solid base for the team. Instead, Arsenal left Highbury and moved to Emirates without a spine and it has been that way since.

Despite the ill feelings around his departure Ashley Cole was a great servant to Arsenal. I wish gooners would stop hating on him. He was probably the best left back in the world at this point in his career so he deserved parity with other stars. Big mistake by management to let him leave.
