the reason gold players seem worse than bronze/silver that you have to have brain damage to actually willingly play that much ranked so it weeds out most of the better players
You don't lose your ranking in bronze till level 7 (I think) so it makes sense to play up to that point never lose your rank to crap teams gain all the rewards for your effort then just go back to the usual stuff
Sometimes I really miss this game and kinda want to install it again, thankfully Flamu is here to remind me that this is the highest competitve level of WoWs solo queue
I suprisingly had good time in a Gold Ranked, when there were cvs and enemy had FDR (ours was Immelman). Was first thinking that no effing way... But our cv started immediately moaning that enemy FDR ruins everyones games, but he said: "Just yours" (noticed name it was Report_All_CVs). He spotted our Immelman and kept him spotted all the time... Our Immmelman moaned all the time and tried to hide behind island and FDR just killed him with torps. Then he just spotted for their team, cos he didn't want to attack innocent players...

And then blame me when the enemy ships aren’t spotted. But if I have to spot, I’ll be the man in a DD, staying close enough to spot but not be spotted.
I've heard people say its a very powerful ship, but honestly, I don't see it. I'm a DD main and I agree on paper it looks very strong. But in practice, I have only seen one person play it competently. Every other player it looked very underwhelming. I absolutely refuse to spend my steel/coal on it just to try to make it work.

Flamu doesn't seem to be aware of the WoWs mechanics that, if you shoot at someone in open water, you give away your position. That's why the Thunderer didn't want to shoot the Schlieffen. It's just safer.
I just love how Flamu assumes that every russian speaks or at least understands english. Nope. They don't. Only few are blessed with that ancient miraculous knowledge.

Because of Wargaming constantly balancing for potato players the concept of teamwork doesn't exist, players play only for themselves regardless of if their actions will win the battle or not. This is true for both WoT and WoWs.

I reached rank 1 a couple of days ago, and I have to say that I find every player that surprises you... Yamato at J10, Z-52 dying from torpedoes, Minotaur with smoke (some may be functional) Sherman monofinger-smoke for 20 minutes and it is that almost the entire gold league is like this, because I have not seen that the MM puts you with R5 down (4, 3, 2) Literally, you can be Rank 2 and they put you with an R10 subject A headache.
According to the next patch news.... they've fixed the Last Stand acceleration issue. There is a reason for the better quality of players at lower ranks... They are smart enough to not to leave Silver.
i mean...it's the same guys, who apparently would hurt themself while trying to use a doorknob, who ruin random matches, but the smaller frame of ranked puts them more in the spotlight. Ever wondered who the players are, when you realize that your other flank completely collapsed in the first 5 minutes of a match - there they are. Also, bronze + silver are not that bad, because the carry potential of a single player is higher due to the lower tiers So it is easier for a decent player to "leisurely stroll" through them.

I stopped playig WoWs some years ago and I would say, that I was at best an average player. But even I don't understand the bullshit done by some of the team members. I mean, charging in a Yamato directly to a smokescreen with a japanese torpedo deytroyer inside.....WHAT????
Today i had 1 Player in Random. He was a Expert in Ranked. Play 7000 battles in Random...but he played 7600 Ranked Battles!!!!!!!! with 40 % Winrate in Ranked.....Bourgogne his Favourit Ship with 28k damage per Game.......Rank 8 in Gold...... So you see Ranked is broken.
The thing I have noticed a lot of players in gold league play like 300 battles a week just going on the play so much you go up being carried by the team.
I don’t see the cause for amazement. Ranked is where bad players go to farm Steel. Failing to Gold gives them a sense of accomplishment based on the name of the mode and its past status. WG simultaneously enabled this and devalued Ranked by making it just another grind that anyone can accomplish.
People really don’t know how to play ranked with the smaller format teams. I think the increase in smaller random matches is good for the community. Had a DD tell me I was yolo when it’s a 2v2 on one edge of the map and I was in Bourgogne.
you know~ when i play ranked i just let my cat playing it with whatever ships that he want while i just do something else, after 15minutes passed he comes to me... and he didn't wanna play it anymore 😿😿

Also.... really underestimating the amount of us potatoes who make gold through volume of games and getting carried.

For better mental health, pretend you are alone on your team in ranked. You will find yourself much more at peace with the ongoings, although you are of course required to carry the game alone. Side effects may include back pain.
every time I see flamu play ranked I can't help but think he's like the overlord in an RTS game and his troops are his teammates but they're all modern cv players so it's an absolute coin flip to see if they're stupid as shit or actually listen.
