Last time I was this early Tahiti still looked like a crime scene.
Someone's been watching Detail Geek, lol. Looks great!
Very popular cars here in Europe!
You can see plenty of them almost everywhere.
Also there are very reliable.
Good choice!
Gtc 1.6 turbo here!😉
Very popular and reliable too. Will see with the new model. I don't see any Opel Astra L for now: Little expensive. But I see a lot of Opel Corsa F.
Damn, that steering wheel wrap came out great, looks oem, much better results than I had expected!
I had no idea you could get a steering wheel cover that you stitch around the original wheel! I'll see if I can get one for my Impreza.
Because of my poor circulation I'd love to add heating to it too, but using the cigarette lighter, er, "Power Point" for power to it, doesn't work for me.
First like!! Absolutely awesome transformation on your Astra!! It looks absolutely brand new on the inside again!! 😎👍
Most people: What the hell kind of car is that???
Opel people: One of us...one of us...one of us...
Is it a Satupel, or Opurn?
It's an Opel that has reclaimed its identity.
@@wanderinggentileFunny, but you're right. 😄
That was a satisfying clean. Nice choice for upgrades also.
Am i the only one who enjoys the Astra content?
Good job on removing the seats to fully clean your interior. Even though no one is going to see under your seats, you have a better feeling knowing your car is as clean as can be. Keep up the great content.
What a transformation, that steering wheel turned out great! You have just about sold me on picking up that extractor, the dirt that pulls is crazy.
That wheel cover looks gorgeous Matt. Good stitching job!
Awesome video. Can't wait for the exterior
This thing cleaned up well. Cleaning vehicles is so satisfying.
Dude got to say love the vids and you inspire me to update my Tahoe and thanks for all the tips for making it better keep up the. Good work and happy new year to everyone
That's a good looking Astra 😄 My car is a 2006 5 door Opel Astra H stw, so seeing you replace the saturn badge with Opel put a smile on me 😄👍
Love the videos keep it up 👍
I also have one of those little Bissell Spot Clean extractors and wow - it is an amazing little extractor. Super happy with how well it performs for the hobbyist detailer. Great video man - love your content.
Loved the video and the soundtrack! more Saturn videos please
Love your videos. Got me a Tahoe and doing a lot of the same mods you did on Tahiti.
Dang! Looks like a brand new car!👍
That is a real nice car. 👍👍👍
Wow. I don't even think I clean my ass as thoroughly as you do your cars 😮
That car looks great
Nothing wrong with getting a little 4 cyl hatch for daily driving. I bought a 2012 Focus 5 speed and that thing is absolutely perfect for what I need. Serves me well while I get my Z/28 running.
pretty motivating video. im going to clean my daily driver 05 impala
Mom had a '67 Opel Cadet that she drove the wheels off of. It was a good little car. The only real things I remember going wrong with it was dad cursing the starter location and having to dig to get to it, and the exhaust system finally rotted out from beneath it. Looks like a fun little econo-commuter buggy. It needs a hair dryer though. LOL
i like how you went back for the dorito
You gotta look under the lower rear seat. Guaranteed you're gonna find some stuff. She cleaned up real nice. For those raised door panels I usually use a 2 part epoxy, then use clamps to hold everything down til it dries--of course you need to take the panels off to do this.
Hey Matt I have a 08 astra as well. Where did you get that console?
steering wheel came out sick!
Great video, if there is one thing I'd do differently is probably put some touch up paint or rust converter+touch up paint in the spare wheel well. Overall it looks great though, especially that hand hand stitched Steering wheel.
Wow!
cool video!
please send a link to the armrest, I really liked it!
In Egypt, I have seen a couple of these cars
what vacuum machine are you using?
Where did you get the replacement drivers seat?
Hi!
Please tell me the steeringwheel cover type. I need one. Thank you!
Where you get the console?
Can you add a link for the steering wheel cover?
Is there a link for the armrest
I know that you wrapped the steering wheel urself did you ever get that Leather one?
Will you be swapping out that radio bro?
Hey man, I don’t know if you still reply but where did you get that armrest, because I really like that one. And I love your vids, keep up the good work!
So strange to see an Opel Astra in the US, albeit with Saturn details. I wonder what they tell you when they pass you with this car with the Opel blitz.
Thanks for not putting the Saturn logos
what about the armrest?
What is that, dried blood in the trunk???
I've been meaning to tell you about the engine. There's bad news and good news. I believe you should look at PHAD, Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostics. Ivan had a hell of a time fixing an Astra engine problem! If not PHAD, might be Eric O. at SMA.
Now for the possible good news. I believe that engine is of the same family as what was in the Chevy Cobalt and other US GM cars. That means you might be able to put in a turbo 2 liter engine, or the supercharged 2 liter.
One other thing, the powerful Cobalts had a reputation for handling well with what should be the same suspension as in your Astra.
I think I know the reason. Remember that even with the inner rear wheel in the air, VW Rabbits/Golfs handled well too.
GM exactly copied the VW components. One thing was an inner metallic coating in the Sphere used. Other manufacturers didn't use that inner metal coating and their twist beam rear suspensions did not handle as well. Many Cobalt testers did not have the skill/courage to push it into terminal understeer, hence it's great reputation of having no understeer.
why u speed that much the extractions
The german Astra H's don't have these door knobs.
First
What is the wet vac and cleaner you are using?
The cleaner and vac are linked in the description!
I like you Tahoe
Jeder Popel fährt nen Opel 😂 enjoy your new car Matt but i prefer the F-Bodys on your channel
This is Canadá or US?
US
Anybody else waiting onna tahiti video?👀
Nice work! Such a pity it wasn't ASMR..😭. Also, most of the vacuuming and extracting shots are way too fast and way too far (from the camera) to actually be able to enjoy anything.
Didn't know Americans has astras haha
It's not a real Saturn
I know its an opel but as an opel fan its really cool to see opel badge in murica
