    ¡Menudo arte!
Fabulosa demostración de un fantástico producto.

@@theretrogamers7690 Hi Nekra, I actually want to know about that amp and what type of gain and how much gain and could it handle Ultra distortion and even Modern down tuned , 7 and 8 string Heavy shit. I have the AMT 11b and it is a great modern metal pedal-Preamp. Are you familiar with the AMT SS-20 ? Is it more compress and higher gain then the 11b for insane thrash, heavy metal and shredding hardcore kill my mom shit lol ? I like Peavey 5150-6505, ENGL Powerball, EVH5150lll, Laboga Mr.Hector Tone/Gain. Thank You and Happy Trails.Peace-

@@teriakamoto I will answer your questions in list form:
      1. What type of gain? I don't know how to answer this question. I am not entirely sure if AMT voiced these channels after other amps, or if it is their own voicing. The Crunch channel reminds me of a modified Marshall Plexi, but as far as the clean channel, that stays clean for the most part. The Lead 1 is high gain, but with added bottom end, and a voicing knob that works like a tone knob, along with bass, middle, and treble controls. Lead 2 is a little bit higher gain than Lead 1, but it is voiced to be more of a continuation of the Crunch channel.
      2. How much gain? The gain on the clean channel adds more clean volume than anything else, but it will break up if you want it to do so.
The Crunch channel starts out with break up, as it should, but with the gain on tap, you can push it even more, kind of like pre Lead 2 levels of gain. I mainly use this channel for thrash metal, or hardcore punk. This is very easily a very versatile channel.
Lead 1, and Lead 2 have enough on tap to be extreme metal channels. I am more of a 80's to 90's extreme metal player, and these channels work really well for death metal, black metal, doom metal of that area. Solid state amps are known for having nasty distortion once it is pushed after a certain point, and I know what people are talking about when they say that. I personally have never had that issue with this amp.
      3. Can it handle modern drop tuned instruments? Yes it can, but you would want to a boost pedal to boost these instruments into the amp, or scoop out the bass accordingly.
I actually used to own a Peavey 6505+, and an Ampeg VH140c, and part of the main reason why I purchased the Stonehead was because I needed to downsize but still have a good metal amp with lots of tonal options. Apart from having four channels, with their own switches, the fact that this amp also has two master volumes, and a resonance, and presence control knobs really sets it apart for something that is this size. You can also run all of AMT's LA series pedals though the effects loop and add a fifth channel if you need to do so.

@@theretrogamers7690 Hey Man, Thank You so much for the get back ! I really appreciate that. I think you like a lot of the same music as myself and if it can compete with the 6505 then that's a great barometer for tone for heavy ,Thrash. Hardcore punk. I have all the original Dimebag Gear. The Randall RG-100, MXR Doubler/Flanger, MXR 6 Band Eq, all the rack gear and pedals, and Wah's, Digitech Whammy so I am familiar with Solid State. Do you have the SS-20 pedal also ? How do you like that and is that a good pedal for Metal and Punk ? I don't know if you do facebook but if you do please send me a Friend request to Jimmy Mclarnin. It would be good to have another guitarist to share insight and technical information.Let me know about that SS-20.Thanks again man. Peace-

@@teriakamoto I actually do not own the SS-20. From the videos I have seen, I would consider the Stonehead to be better than the SS-20, but by no means is the SS-20 a bad unit. And of course, I have only heard video footage of the SS-20 which is different than hearing it yourself and trying it out with your own equipment.
For what specific reason do you want the SS-20?
I think a common trap that people fall into is that they think that equipment is designed to be highly specialized for certain things, and while to a certain extent that can be true, music equipment tends to be more versatile than people want to believe.
While I primarily play hardcore punk, grindcore, and death metal, and while the Stonehead is mainly used by metal heads, it is by no means limited to those things. Sometimes on my free time when I want to noodle with music that might be a little bit more experimental and effects heavy, it does a good job at handling that.

WAY too many knobs to tweak, haha - that is unless you are like me (terribly anal) and love having so many options for nuances of sound possibilities. But I think it is a bit complex for most players. To me, without programmable presets, it's great for the studio, laying down cool tracks, but rather cumbersome for a live setup.
