But even then Top Gun Maverick is one of a few films I wouldn't argue actually being a masterpiece. Everything that could go right with that movie did.

This is my favorite boss theme I have heard ever since Persona 5's Rivers in the Desert. Jesus christ this makes me want to cry... they remixed both boss themes AND the intro sequence of Jason chasing Fred down from the original games. And the fact they retconned and made the English version AND Japanese version BOTH CANON IS JUST UNREAL!!! I don't know any video game franchise that has ever had a English and Japanese counterpart actually become one and actually to make sense without any plot holes. This series is severely underrated. Do yourself a favor and spread the word about this trilogy and tell them to also play the original on an Emulater! BUT DO NOT HAVE THEM PLAY BLASTER MASTER 2 ON SEGA GENESIS/MEGA DRIVE! WE DON'T TALK ABOUT THAT! Blaster Master: Blasting Again and Blasting Again is okay though.
Imagine if inti gave this boss fight a phase 2 in where both Ma's are out of commission and you have fight jason or kane in a good o'l gun fight. on foot and both can use counter attacks, when attacked. and can use all of their sub weapons.
This really was an epic boss battle with a seriously nostalgic battle theme! Always thought the boss themes from the original Blaster Master sounded like they could be a great base for a neat music, so it is totally awesome that they rearranged them complete with melodies and everything. Only thing about this fight that feels lacking, is Jason's side of things, with the Metal Attacker just being too underpowered to be a proper final boss at this point, while the story feels awkward when it plays off like Jason still lost even though you probably totally destroyed Kane in a onesided beat down. But other than that, this was really an amazing experience, totally would blast again.

So if you were to fight on even terms, he is actually the harder boss fight than Jason... It's just that Sophia J1 is so op, that its subweapons pretty much nullifies all of the Metal Attacker's attacks, not to mention Eve's plot armor revival skill.
Canonically Kane is the Better pilot, among all of the other pilots due to kane being a veteran and unlike the other MA pilots he fought Goez's army single handed destroyed when he was still at jason's age in the first game. not only that his Metal Attacker was constanly getting repairs and upgraded for the past 10 years.

They took the original sound chip from the classic console, inserted it into a hi-tech computer, amplified the shit out of it, and made it even more badass than it already is!

I think blaster Masters Z3 is essentially the ending of Eve and Jason's storyline as Eve settles in as the new Queen of the mutants and Jason as an all powerful tank commander named blastmaster as a new chapter begins with those two kids ,I'm digging the new battle theme for Jason 😁👏👍

I love how this theme literally starts out like Cannonball and then it just escalates into a merging of that and the Bloodstained 2 credits. SO epic. I know I already made a comment on another video saying that Leibniz/Rising Garuda has the better music AND a better final battle, but that was before I played this fight as Kane vs. Jason. It definitely IS a lot harder than if you go Jason vs. Kane, and quite a challenge at that, but once you learn Jason's attack patterns, it's surprisingly easier than the Leibniz fight, thus why I'd still have to go with Leibniz as my personal choice for this game's true final boss
Agree, except about the part of Jason being easier than Leibniz. The Rising Garuda has a lot more obvious attack patterns, especially since every attack is signalled with Garuda flying with specific a motion. For Sophia J1 however, there is less of a cue between each attack, with the piercing shot in particular being super devastating and hard to dodge. But yeah, they both were awesome boss battles, both worthy of being the final one. Just wish that there was different dialogues at least for when you pick Jason over Kane.. Like have the game acknowledge that he won, instead playing off like Kane beat him.
@@zettovii1367 Sophia-J1's cue is next to its health bar, and each time it finishes up an attack run, the next one will be a basic series of main cannon fires before pausing and switching to a new weapon. There's actually a nice series of attacks you can do in order to deal with each different attack that Jason has: Basic Cannons: Warhead Missiles. While there are three shots out, Sophia-J1 can't fire any more, so you can get up close and hit Jason with as many as 3 of the missiles for huge damage. With the aforementioned pause after the cannon run, you can easily rack up some sweet damage here. Warhead Missiles: Basic Cannons. While this sounds counterproductive and dangerous, you can use this phase to get some needed health and ammo, because the missiles themselves can be destroyed with relative ease. Otherwise Thunder Breaker could be good for attacking overhead, though don't be surprised if you get hit for your efforts. Homing Laser: Seeker Missiles. Don't risk any other weapon here -- Homing Lasers deal a lot of damage, and for the most part you want to be in one of the corners or as far away from J1 as possible. Anti-SF Ammo: Again, Seeker Missiles. Anti-SF ammo is the phase that is the HARDEST to avoid damage in. You're better off driving on the walls while letting the seeker missiles fly to the J1 to sneak in some damage. Rain Cluster: Thunder Breaker. Because it falls in an arc, if you're hovering, you don't have to worry too much about being hit in this phase. When J1 hits a wall, drop down and hit him with either your basic cannon or warhead missiles, and while he's firing forward, hover overhead and hit him with Thunder Breaker. Final Acceleration Blast: Nothing. Focus on dodging so J1 goes into full reboot. If you picked up Acceleration Blast, make sure you're facing right when you come out so you can finish the fight. Otherwise, use a mix of cannon blasts and both kinds of missiles to break his protective shield ASAP so you can start doing damage again.
@@SnancyNegative For the Anti-SF Ammo, Id say the safest way to deal with it is by hopping off the Metal Attacker and just crouch on foot. You'd be able to avoid most of the projectiles Sophia shoots out that way, while any damage recieved by the pilot can be healed immediately as soon as you hop into the MA. But yeah, other than that, you do provide a solid guide.
Aaah The Final Cannonball X vs Zero Sigma Metafight... X vs Zero, Zero(False Body) vs Omega (Zero Original body), Kane(Nora-MA01) vs Jason(Earth-MA001). Its like a Past generation fight the new generation. Its kinda symbolic on how we fight the original Metal attacker and Kane acting as a responsible father and testing Jason to see if he is fit to Guide the future of the Blaster Master Series. Sunsoft Testing inticreates if She can Guide the series into a better future
WELL. I would say that Jason is pain. Cuz. I've beat Kane on first attempt(while struggling SO much vs. Leibniz), but when I tried opposite, I got absolutely demolished. Guess, it's karma.
The best part of fighting Jason as Kane was learning the best strategy was to just Fight him outside of the tank Literally just getting out of the tank so you can avoid any attacks that aren't just jump n' shoot and not have your tank take damage
@@Vintasticvin yeah lmao, getting in the tank fully heals you and you can just hop right back out to keep spamming your pee shooter until he changes to the basic attack phase And none of his attacks 1 shot you outside of the tank and there's I-frames when getting back inside to prevent the tank from taking damage as your hoping in and out

Really enjoyed this final fight. I honestly came away a bit bummed out by the game as a whole as it didn't quite stack up to all the fun BMZ2 was, but the final section was very enjoyable. I also sided pretty hard with Kane on this and how they ended the game. Kane being a proper father. Would be neat to have a 4th game, since Lightning Beings were just so casually dropped.
I feel like I was the only one that picked Jason over Kane, I'd stuck by him for three games straight, so it felt wrong if I just gave up on him and Eve at the end of it all But either way Metafight v.s. Blaster Master is such a cool boss idea, this game is so effing good dude

What was wrong with this fight? I thought the whole thing with being able to choose who you played as during the final boss was cool and if you pick Kane its its legitimately pretty hard.
@@FirstLast-mn4re the game puts more effort into bringing up the legacy of the original META FIGHT then the actual legacy of BMZ. It also doesn’t help that the final boss is essentially a choice between the tank that’s fun to use, that I leveled up through the game but is completely broken op now and kane’s rust bucket. If I wanna have an actual challenge not only do I have to choose the tank I don’t care about but also the character I don’t care about. The liebniz fight felt actually built around Kane’s MA a lot more. This response is long ik so sorry.
@@frogmouth2 honestly i see it as more of a homage and respectful send off to the original series. Inti loves to weave things in their stories for fanservice and this basically peak callback. They clearly put a lot of heart to make kane work as a sort of antagonist to jason’s whole arc. Does he stay as a human fighting evil or does he just go with eve and stay in blissful harmony forever. It also works in the story since This ending basically ends any form of possible opposition from kane’s forces might have towards jason in the future. Kane might not be the one everyone chooses at first but the option being there is so cool just because its an option. It never really impacts the ending either way which is great.

Really enjoyed this final fight. I honestly came away a bit bummed out by the game as a whole as it didn't quite stack up to all the fun BMZ2 was, but the final section was very enjoyable. I also sided pretty hard with Kane on this and how they ended the game. Kane being a proper father. Would be neat to have a 4th game, since Lightning Beings were just so casually dropped.
I feel like I was the only one that picked Jason over Kane, I'd stuck by him for three games straight, so it felt wrong if I just gave up on him and Eve at the end of it all
But either way Metafight v.s. Blaster Master is such a cool boss idea, this game is so effing good dude

What was wrong with this fight? I thought the whole thing with being able to choose who you played as during the final boss was cool and if you pick Kane its its legitimately pretty hard.
@@FirstLast-mn4re the game puts more effort into bringing up the legacy of the original META FIGHT then the actual legacy of BMZ. It also doesn’t help that the final boss is essentially a choice between the tank that’s fun to use, that I leveled up through the game but is completely broken op now and kane’s rust bucket. If I wanna have an actual challenge not only do I have to choose the tank I don’t care about but also the character I don’t care about. The liebniz fight felt actually built around Kane’s MA a lot more.

@@frogmouth2 honestly i see it as more of a homage and respectful send off to the original series. Inti loves to weave things in their stories for fanservice and this basically peak callback. They clearly put a lot of heart to make kane work as a sort of antagonist to jason’s whole arc. Does he stay as a human fighting evil or does he just go with eve and stay in blissful harmony forever. It also works in the story since This ending basically ends any form of possible opposition from kane’s forces might have towards jason in the future. Kane might not be the one everyone chooses at first but the option being there is so cool just because its an option. It never really impacts the ending either way which is great.
@@divyanshmalik5135 ya and I’d agree if they were like “there will never be another blaster master game again”. But they literally said they plan on making more blaster master games outside of the zero label. This isn’t blaster master as whole’s send off, just a rather successful chapter where it is most certainly Jason’s send off. And if you actually wanna be the protagonist, using the MA you’ve enhanced through this and the second game, you’re given a piss easy fight.
