Akbar Birbal - What we should know | The Real Story | Brahm Kavi | Mahesh Das

  • This video traces the life of Birbal as a Poet, Diplomat, Administrator, Military Leader and his impact on the Religious Policy of Akbar. The immense affection and faith Akbar had in Birbal knows no parallel in Akbari History and is borne out of the times when Akbar had put his life in danger to save Birbal's. The uncontrollable lament of Akbar on Birbal's demise was a source of envy for many in the Court.

Sir we have privilege/ flexibility to (modify /edit/add ) our Puranas based on prevailing circumstances of that time as our books are not based on religion/ belief system but emphasises on ideal way of living .
So connecting Akbar with past life philosophy is hard to digesting theory.
It gives a feeling that this story is trying to cover the wounds and bring feel good factor to our past.

We merely relate what is written and is part of the research done. Reference to reading material is given in the description of the video. We agree on the editworthyness of Puranic literature with passage of time. Having said that, we are of the view that much research still needs to be done in Indian History.

Hindus are already very tolerant and have become dhimmis after being ruled by barbarians for long. Better research in something to make people come out of dhimminess. But your video is only doing opposite. Feel good that we were ruled by a barbarians , feel good in serving them. feel good if again we get same fate. This relationship of Akbar and Birbal is fascinating and definitely well presented. It strikes a chord so similar to the relationship of Alexander and Hephaestion where Alexander gave up his royal duties to mourn the loss of Haephastion, who was his lover , for several days.
Maybe Akbar too had this enmeshed relationship with Birbal that was more than just friendship or professional duty. That made him so protective of Birbal to put himself in harms way. Just like the love between Alexander and Hephastion.

@@somaganguly955 Homophobia is curable. So it will eventually and wont need this OCD to only see romantic love between a Hetero-romantic couple as the only form of valid love in the society and Homoromatic love as something negative. And these history lessons reminds us back that we didnt need any OCD for love. May it be across religion, caste, sexuality or gender.
