What an interesting video. There was a wasp nest underground on my property in Running Springs CA, a few years ago. I encountered it one day when I was cutting the grass and several of the little gits attacked me! I called in an exterminator, who killed the insects and unearthed the top of the nest for me to see, and he told me that this was one of the largest nests that he'd seen in his job. Unlike yourselves, I did not take it apart. There was no way that I was touching that thing!

I got stung 12 times in my back by wasps when I was a kid, I feel ya. I used to be scared of them too but then I learned more about them so I wouldn't be anymore. Very interesting and amazing insects.

My dad drove a school bus when I was young. One kid brought a nest like that on the bus in the winter. Because it was warm in the bus, the hornets started coming out. Dad grabbed it and threw it out the door. Coulda been ugly.
