Mercedes is controlling the season like last year. I’ll make an example. Mercedes improved laptime in China quali 0.05 seconds to last year. This year in Russia 1.9 seconds. In the first half it looks very close, but the second half they turn everything up. Thats why they make almost no misstakes, they know they only have to be there. Ferrari pushes to the max, and at the limit you sometimes make mistakes, everybody does

Ferrari is historically losing the development battle from 2010 onwards in second part of the season. Right now everything is on Vettel and he has to get 120% from the car to lift the pressure off. The strategy department needs to improve and minor upgrades have to come to every race because the situation is critical. Now is the time you pull out every last ounce of energy with your bare hands. The fans will hard swallow this year, like 2010 and 2012... May the best team win
Ferrari is losing since Jean Todt left, Arrivabene needs to go and Ferrari needs to hire a director with a real sense of tactics and strategy like Todt had.

Vettel threw away Ferrari's chances when he threw his fucking car into the wall because his eyes were still full of tears from crying into the radio begging for Kimi to give him track position.
Ferrari is a joke team that deserves to lose. Spend all the money you want on that engine development, as long as you have clown strategists and a reckless driver like Vettel, Ferrari will never win anything.

It's up to Bottas, he won there last year, so hopefully maybe this year he'll do the same. The only problem is Hamilton's not the best person to have in your rear view mirror.
Hamilton has got a big gap between him and Vettel. If Mercedes is smart, they have to allow Bottas to be in front. Then again, i think they would prefer Hamilton when it comes to stategy. They also have to be aware that Ferrari is very good when it comes to starts (excpecially Vettel). So he has to watch out for that as well. Its just sad that Bottas hasnt got a win yet.
It all depends on Bottas if he turns up tomorrow good then Merc will not tell him to let lewis past as long as lewis is ahead of seb thats all that matters. If Bottas has no pace and the threat of lossing the race win is there then they will tell him to move over. Merc have always let the drivers race as long as it doesnt compromise the race win

Kimi was on a blinder on his last run, unfortunately impeded by slow moving Lewis in sector 3. He was just 0.041 slower than Bottas pole lap @ sector 2. Would have definitely ended up P2. Sad this wasn’t given due coverage by broadcasters.
Ferrari was losing their time in sector 3 to Merc all day, nice try tho. Vettel was a hair faster than Kimi all around and that's how they finished. Always next year, sauber is good👍

How do you have a toe that gifts you 4 tenths in 1 sector, new tires and minimal fuel compared to your teammate who had no toe, worn HyperSofts and excess fuel and STILL finish 5 tenths behind??? Hartley isn't any better either. Your teammate could have aimed for Q3 today (and probably had the pace for it) and you didn't even outqualify the Renaults or get out of Q1. I do agree with Ocon though. That guy needs a seat right now. Hopefully him and Kubica at Williams, although they might also run out of business

You should be able to overcome the situation and in these cases where YOU are being favored, you should at least be able to outqualify Alonso once this season. Especially considering the potential there was in Alonso had he not had to take penalties, which was better than the Renaults and on par with Gasly and with a chance to make it to Q3

+Brandon Lee We all know that Wehrlein was Sauber's best driver and deserved that seat more. Off course, when compared to Raikönnen, who's not in his best form, no young kid stands a chance other than LeClerc, Ocon, Sainz, Gasly and Verstappen. He was not improving, His teammate totally schooled him again this race. I think this year's Alfa Romeo car is just way better than people thought. He hardly ever scored points untill this season.

F1 is ridiculous.. Verstappen has what.. like 50 grid penalties at this point and they give him another 2 license penalty points for not slowing down for Sirotkin. Combined with the 2 penalty points in Monza for nothing he's been more punished than Perez who intentionally runs 2 cars of the road... that totally seems fair and consistent. People might as well just crash people out of the race.

Well, he did speed under yellows. He was also in agreement to the penalty. The Perez penalty is the inconsistent one here imho (way too soft). I think he just said, fuck it I'm going to outqualify Ric after he saw that he could blast past a spun Sirotkin in a semi-safe way.
Sirotkin was stationary to the side of the track, not allowing the driver to make any kind of judgement call is ridiculous.. there are certainly situations where it's justified, but just like in Spa where the car is all the way to the side of the road giving out penalties is just ruining the sport. Especially if you hand out grid penalties to people who already have 40 grid penalty to begin with. Not to mention how absurd the penalty in Monza was to make it seem like they just have it out for him. 4 license points, lost a podium, a bunch of points for doing basically nothing at all. And Perez who clearly ran Ocon off the road and made the most ridiculous move into Sirotkin gets away with 3 points and a drive through penalty that is entirely meaningless to someone not in the top 10.
The problem with judgement calls is that people have a different feeling of what's safe, I do understand where you're coming from. I can't remember there being a lot of runoff in Sochi in the middle sector, so I assume Sirotkin wasn't a mile off the track. This rule is simple, slow down under yellows and he didn't. So a penalty was fair imho, and I'm a fan of his.

Although being a Ferrari fan, let's keep it real. If there is one thing we can blame for boring part of season that is gonna happen after Lewis wins tomorrow, it's Scuderia Ferrari F1 team! And Sebastian Vettel himself, ofc. 1st part of season, in obviously better car, and they couldn't capitalise it. And ofc, mistakes. If Vettel dosen't make a mistake, it's the wrong strategy of the team, and vice verca. So, this time, similiar to last season, the only one to blame here for borring part of season is Team Ferrari and no1 else.
God I don't like Mercedess and I think Lewis is a wuss leaving McLaren, but we have to admit to them that he and Mercedess Petronas AMG F1 team is what Ferrari was in the early 2000's with Schumaher. And I hope that tomorrow all 8 wheels of Mercedess'es cars wil fall of in a 1st lap.
