@@michealjaymurphy It's not happening. Chinese leaders do not care, Bytedance itself will be hit but its revenues will only be back to 2022. The Chinese public would not accept defeat in a U.S trade/tech war. If it gets blocked then it'll probably end being challenged in the courts plus Trump opposes a ban and there'd be massive outrage and political pressure. Thus a ban isn't necessarily set in stone. What the U.S is doing now is unprecedented and would fundamentally challenge the idea that the U.S government respects the right of foreign companies. It could seriously damage U.S reputation and has a similar effect to weaponsing the dollar. It makes other countries nervous and unwilling to expand any sort of investments into the U.S for fear that they will arbitrarily target them in a similar manner if they fall foul of U.S interests and lawmakers.
China doesnt really have a choice, unless they want to loose even more western buisness, its as Kevin says, there is no replacement for china, and it got its own debt issues ;p

I believe Kevin O'Leary's self-proclaimed net worth of $400 million is greatly exaggerated. If you review what he cashed out on each venture, there is no way he would be at that level. I do believe he has millions, but it is most likely well below the $100 million dollar mark.
