I travel a lot. Every year, I have at least 2 trips, mostly out of the United States. I pack many of my Indian snacks, shop bought and some homemade as well. Some examples:
Namak Para, Savoury Jar Snack. ...Sukhdi or Gor Papri, Nuts of all kinds
Methi Puri Recipe, Crisp Indian Jar Snack. Thepla/Bhakri Handvo
    Rajgira Chikki, Amaranth Chikki. ...
Whole Wheat Flour and Jaggery Peanut Ladoo. ...
    Peanut Chutney Powder,
Sev Murmura, Sev Kurmura, Sev Mamra. ...
Mixed Sprouts Bhel, Murmura with Mixed Sprouts.
But nowadays, I love staying in an air BNB and I have become pro at packing the stuff to cook in an Air BNB. I try to pack some items from home and some buy from the destination if there is any supermarkets around the area.

I remember when I was five, I would start crying when my parents didn’t play your videos. As someone who is 17 now, and still watches you, I cannot say anything but how proud I am of you. You reached one millions subscribers, you started meet and greets and have a cook book. Your accomplishments truly inspire me to follow my dreams and keep believing: thank you so much.

Hi Bhavna, no experience with AirBNB in US, but in Europe I have travelled in various sizesof AIRBNB s and had variety of experiences, mostly good. Whenever we travelled, first thing we do is to buy breakfast essentials, bread, butter/ jam, eggs and basic fruits like bananas and apples. And we do not carry lunch. We usually eat at local restaurants and cafes . However when we head back home after a hectic day, it is usually very tiring to dress up yet again for dinner or to be outside till we can have dinner. So we cook dinner at home. We are non veg eaters so simplest is usually Egg curry and rice, or easy peasy chicken curry and rice or a sausage pasta with veggies to make it healthier. On days we are either too tired or short on produce, we often have a simplest khichdi kind of thing. In fact it is more akin to risotto, where we do a simple slightly overdone runny style rice with potatoes and other veggies with or without tempering and it is soul food for Bengalees with ghee and salt. Any add on of pickle or papad or a simple omelette just makes it heavenly..we call it shedhdho bhaat, or boiled rice. And of course I carry all basic powdered spices and tempering ones and definitely green chillies with us.

I plan to do same thing , i am travelling by air with 4 year old who prefers home food, i am looking for options. We are veg so i would get tortillas and might cook simple jeera daal (to match daal roti)and same breakfast strategy for breakfast bread butter , cereals, pasta/pasta-sause with chai for breakfast. Might carry a cheese sandwich in bag for lunch just in case my son rejects restaurant’s food 😃

Yes, handvo, khakhara and dhebra are our delicious food we can enjoy when we are travelling. I am vegetarian too, we don't eat eggs even. We can enjoy, mamra-chavanu and crisp masala puri with chai or coffee or sweetened milk.

Protein is VERY over-rated. If you check the amount of protein in human mother's breast milk, you'll see there is less than 2 percent, yet with that little amount a newborn baby consuming nothing but that triples in size its first year of life! So full grown or slower growing adults or children certainly don't need any more protein than a newborn would. Eating too much protein actually does a lot of harm.
In the old days, part of the point of traveling outside of the country was to experience the food and culture of the area you were visiting. People were better off getting used to the idea that while they were away from home, they would not expect to eat like they do at home. However, I can see bringing food if you are on a strict strict diet and/or have many food sensitivities and or will be camping while hiking and away from any food sources - including local markets. I can also see doing so if you will be in an area with heavy restrictions as to where you will be "allowed" to shop due to so called "mandates".
