Amazing art and super shot glasses were some of the scores I made on this windy Las Vegas day! I'm seriously blown away that these beautiful pieces were just sitting there waiting to be found by me and with huge profits! Goodwill was good to me on this thrifting trip!

I'm in my sixties, the local antique malls always have items in them from my childhood and so many dishes, glasses and things I had when first married. It makes me feel old. Another thing that makes me feel old is finding that my own paperwork from years past is often dry, yellowed and brittle like my own grandmother's saved papers were. My mom is a very youthful 89 years old. I don't think she adequately prepared me for aging at all. Ageism is so much worse now than it used to be though. My grandmother was appreciated for her wisdom, experience and knowledge and she wasn't expected to look 30 at age 60. I loved her wrinkled smiling face, her floor length gray hair that she wound into a neat sensible bun, we went to her for sage advice. Now at age 65 I feel as if I'm invisible and no one asks me anything, Google is their grandmother, lol. Sorry, I had too much coffee this morning, I live alone, I'm babbling.

@@hannakinn I understand! I will be 60 this year. My parents and their siblings are all gone but 1. I wish I had paid more attention to my mother when she talked about family stuff. Google sure can’t tell me what it was she put in her potato salad that made it extra special. And it can’t tell me my parents’ love story, or any of those songs I loved to hear as a child. Most kids today don’t appreciate stuff like that. Bless you! Too much coffee just sends me to the potty!!!🤦🏼♀️🤣🤣

Omg, you are adorable. When you picked up 2 cushions and then 2 secs. later(our edited version) you panned to your cart over flowing, I laughed, out loud. Totally reminded me of that epic “dishes” escapade, several months back. Then you show us your “this is what it looks like ….” I was cracking up.” Fantastic score on those beautiful birds. I was delighted to see you purchase the prints by Robin Hill, naturalist and painter. Great find! Born in Australia, he moved to England as a young child, and then to the United States.The Morris Museum in Augusta Georgia has 200 of his beautiful bird paintings. They were the reason for the establishment of the museum. If he is still alive he is 90 yrs old.

I love antique mall shop alongs! 👍 The Nobel Excellence brand is sold by Dillard’s department stores. The pink trees were Target Dollar Spot $3 items. They were selling around $10 at Christmas because they were hard to get. People resell the dollar spot items all the time on Mercari.

I think you missed some Denby plates . Darker blue around the rim, fading to lighter blue towards the middle . If they are knock offs it sure was done well.
I think the art that you said was a stork or a crane is a heron…i was thinking a Great Blue Heron maybe.
The stemware savers attached to the stem of the wine glass, and then you attach them to a rail in the dishwasher so they don't get knocked over when they're washing! And I love Noah's commentary! Thanks for taking us shopping with you!
I don't like watching the antique mall videos. Can't really say why though. I love the thrift store ones and the yard and estate sales.
Speaking of glowing glass. Because of You , Trifting Vegas and The Crazy Lamp Lady , Ive taken to carrying a uvlight . Found my first Uranium glass last week , and today found another two pieces of the same design . Got so excited about it. 4 Clear dessert glasses with uranium glass feet etched with small roses.
Would love to see a video of you unloading car and how you process it once you get it home.

Up here in Virginia City, we've also had a false start to Spring. Tons of wind including the afternoon Zephyrs. Several days of below freezing so we have to wait to plant! We just bought 10 yds of compost which is quickly blowing away in the driveway! Apparently, everyone all over the country are having the weather we should have had in the winter. We all have the windblown look just like you!

the stem ware savers are for use in the dishwasher, they are hollow and they slip down over the prongs of the dishwasher rack and you fasten the curved section to your wine glass stem to hold them in place during the washing and rinsing cycles

The stemware savers are used in the dishwasher. One end goes around the stem of a wine glass. The other end gets wrapped around the metal tray of the dishwasher.

That vintage fish serving platter would be cool for someone that liked to entertain to add to their charcuterie set up, even though Charcuterie is for cheeses and meats I think adding fish would be cool, maybe loxs, mini bagels, cream cheese or some nice chunks of smoked salmon, or even some sushi. That'd be good to include for guests that don't eat beef or pork. I have both in my extended family. If I was social I'd do the Charcuterie board party bit. I'm only in my mid 60s but most of my friends have died or I have had to distance from them because they have severe drug and or alcohol issues and I don't do those things or need the issues and drama friends that do that stuff bring into my life. It's sad, really.

Things seem like they are finally shaking loose for me on Ebay. This evening, a lady purchased a sterling silver peace sign ring I bought for .99 at my local Salvation Army Thrift Store for $57. I'm super stoked about that! I've had 4 sales in three days. I sure hope it keeps going!
Then today, I found a pair of Bausch and Lomb sunglasses for $2.17 that I am going to keep for myself because I need a new pair in the worst way. But, I looked them up when I settled in at home tonight, and the exact pair sold on Ebay for $55.99 last week. I saw only one other pair listed, and the price is $61 and change. I would love to sell them, but I need these!

Ugh!!! I don't miss the Mojave Desert wind! We lived in Apple Valley for 27 years and had to live with our roof being blown away and our wood fence blown over. And all those miserable tumbleweeds. Apple Valley is where Roy Rogers and Dale Evans lived and are buried.

Hello, we drove from Texas to California this past week and I realized we were near Yermo, so I asked my husband if we could go to the thrift store you shared in your video. We were only about 15miles away so I checked the internet and it said it opened at 9:30, we got there around 10 am but it wasn’t open. I was so bummed, I was going to tell them that you sent me, lol. Oh well maybe next time.

The awesome bowl is Hoya. I started with a large salad bowl....then another....then a large round platter....then 4 individual salad bowls.....then an ice bucket. They are beautifully made and sell well.
My granddaughter Marissa found a huge tortoise in her backyard. She showed it to me on Easter Sunday when I was visiting. I thought of you right away and told her about you and your tortoises. I live in Florida.

I love that your stores have wire shelves and are spaces far enough apart to see what's there. The one nearest me is piled with stuff on every solid shelf, so you have to dig through to even see what's there. And the bottom shelves are almost impossible to go through. I went 2 weeks ago and probably won't go back. Plus, they are very overpriced!
