    I played with this at a local Guitar center. I really like it. Jogs are nice to play with, There are some things i would change. but it is just small adjustments. load can be quicker, start of the track can have more backroom (for scratching the first beat) but it might be just the deck needs a update, but it is a winner.

      +Jose Lugo Good call, I've noticed this too, but they weren't glaring enough for a full report on that in the review. Thanks for your comment though. This is noted!

    +DJBooth DJs do you think this CDJ 2000 Nexus 2 will one day support Traktor or Serato on HID mode? That's the only thing preventing me from buying them right now. I'm debating into getting the xdj1000 instead because they're plug and play ready for traktor, but they feel like toys.

    • @RealDJblaze
      @RealDJblaze  Před 8 lety

      +DJTEDDY507 I don't think they will make it Traktor/Serato compatible this time. They are trying to own the DJbooths!

    • @DJTEDDY507
      @DJTEDDY507 Před 8 lety

      ***** that's kind of unfair competition and down right trying to create a monopoly by limiting the options to DJs. I'm calling my congressman... LoL

    • @RealDJblaze
      @RealDJblaze  Před 8 lety

      +DJTEDDY507 I'm with you on that...

    • @C2daF
      @C2daF Před 8 lety

      +DJTEDDY507 LOL @ calling your congressman. Jokes aside, With the release of Rekordbox DJ, it makes sense for Pioneer to go support their own software with their hardware. NI has done the same thing with their controllers and peripherals. I wonder what Serato will do now? Seems all the love between Pioneer and Traktor/Serato has slowly fizzled. But I do agree with you, the biggest appeal of the previous NXS line was that flexibility. Hopefully with new updates, they will open the doors back up?

    • @DJTEDDY507
      @DJTEDDY507 Před 8 lety +2

      +DJbooth DJ's I just purchased a pair of the original CDJ 2000 nexus. They're cheaper now and give me flexibility to use them with traktor or rekordbox. Plus they load tracks faster than the nexus 2. I prefer them over the xdj1000

    Can this unit be used with a serato dj mixer for instance the pioneer djm s9?

    • @churchillcoins8519
      @churchillcoins8519 Před 6 lety

      Yes I can I use it with the S9. However, you can’t use the uplink with the S9.

  • @jonathanvillalobos7994

    that's one of the reasons why I never got into digital djing (I'm a vinyl purist) because it must be insane to buy pioneer cdjs then six months later there's a new upgraded one. like an iphone. I know I would be pissed off if I was cdj or control dj. I would feel like now I need to upgrade because my last cdj/controller is outdated, and I don't feel right playing it. don't get me wrong these things are badass! but with real turntables there really is no upgrade but your skills! and that's all you need. that being said I wonder what digital djs think when there's another upgrade every year or so. I mean why buy this? when next year there's gonna be a new version again.

    • @RealDJblaze
      @RealDJblaze  Před 8 lety +2

      +Jonathan Villalobos CDJ's usually last about 4-5 years lifecycle which is about the same amount of time most people keep their computers and cars... I'm with you though... I'm a vinyl DJ as well, but I can understand why people would want to get the newest CDJ/XDJ. They do have more features and the upgrades that would also make it so you could be familiar with what is in the clubs as well. If you are not a Club DJ or your club doesn't have the latest decks, then maybe an upgrade isn't worth it just yet...

    • @aesop180
      @aesop180 Před 8 lety +1

      +Jonathan Villalobos Whoever said you have to have the upgraded model? If you have the original CDJs and they work, you shouldn't HAVE to upgrade unless you just want to. Some people think the newest equipment makes them better and some people with new equipment sleep better at night.

    • @jonathanvillalobos7994
      @jonathanvillalobos7994 Před 8 lety

      +calvin smith you say "whoever said you have to have the upgraded model?"..um idk what video you were watching, but the one I was watching the guy was saying these are better the the last model. so the guy is making the video to promote and sell the product. then you go on to say "if you have the original cdjs and they still work,you shouldn't have to upgrade unless you just want to" if you read my comment in the beginning I said I'm a dj purist. meaning I play vinyl and real turntables so an upgrade is not necessary. (I've had the same turntables since the early 80s.)so you trying to dis me with that snide remark is a big fail!! try again, in the beginning of ur comment you missed my point. in the end of ur comment you proved my point! "some people think the newest equipment makes them better and some people with new equipment sleep better at night" you just proved my point!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 BTW real dj play vinyl!!!

    • @aesop180
      @aesop180 Před 8 lety

      Nobody played you out. I was generalizing and you wear you feelings on your sleeves. All I was say is people should not have to feel pressured into getting the latest model. If you don't want to upgrade or stay with vinyl, good for you and good luck. Peace Bro.. (that's why I said "some people")

    Bought these...I'm running them with a djm800 mixer..Will deffently be up grading to the nexus mixer when I've saved the cash...I'm running rekordbox everything ok but if I serlect rekorbox on the player there's nothing..but both players are linked to the pc ok...the firm ware is up to date to...am I missing something?

    • @RealDJblaze
      @RealDJblaze  Před 6 lety

      Are you trying to use these in Rekordbox DJ mode with a computer? If so, then you need to run USB cables from the players to the computer and put them into the Rekordbox DJ mode...

    • @stuartrobson5265
      @stuartrobson5265 Před 6 lety

      Both usb cables from each deck are connected to pc the link cable between decks is connected...when I open record box the decks when turned on connect with a beeb sound then it prompts me to change sound settings so ok...but it only connects with the link Button..then I set each deck in turn 1 and 2...then I can serlect tracks on the software but when I press the rekordbox button...nothing?

    what do you think of record box dj vs serato, traktor, virtual dj ect

    • @RealDJblaze
      @RealDJblaze  Před 8 lety

      +IceTeaMan022 I still like Serato/Traktor a bit better than Rekordbox DJ, but its not that far behind honestly... I like how you can use the software as a controller or as a music manager and keep the same collection no matter where you play out...

    • @IceTeaMan022
      @IceTeaMan022 Před 8 lety

      +DJbooth DJ's i think it is also about what you get used to using, i have tried traktor (the older le version) and serato (the dj intro verson), and virtual dj, I got used to using virtual dj and that is what i used primarily, about a year ago i bought the full version of virtual dj, and i know a lot of people dont like virtual dj but i guess it is what i got used to using. I had the early first numark dj controller the one that had the separate dj io audio interface, so it came with virtual dj and traktor, before anyone else really had controllers like that. I then upgraded to a mixdeck because i still had cds and was still in that transition phase between old cdj and straight mp3 controller dj. I still have my mixdeck, and the next time i upgrade i think i will look for a smaller lighter more mobile setup, maybe traktor control s4 or one of the pioneer ddj sr/sx the two channel 4 deck control models

  • @Reticuli
    @Reticuli Před 7 lety

    Some genius at Pioneer had the idea on the original CDJ to add a jog bend dead zone to a jog with already horrible, low resolution. $2200 for a player that has less pitch resolution and jog bend performance to something that cost one tenth.

    • @for_all_those3611
      @for_all_those3611 Před 7 lety

      the jog wheel bend, is'nt bend, its nudge for 4/4 so you can beat match and line up your beats when the latency on the buttons offsets the sync, pioneers suck for most music over 160 bpm, its the same as having to spin the platter on vinyl because you did'nt get the push start right to bypass the motors pickup time

    • @Reticuli
      @Reticuli Před 6 lety

      One can make the argument that rate-based jog bend is both bend and nudge, but one cannot say rate-based isn't bend. Time-based bend is more nudge than the rate-based variety. The rest of what you're saying is complete gibberish.

    Man if you understand your music and its production you dont need effects. no track is produced to be ruined by weak pioneer effects..
