      I'd honestly rather that than dealing with work culture, perversion and depression that Japanese people have to put up with. Their suicide rate isn't so high because they live in paradise. Even if some of our cities aren't as clean, it's definitely not so bad that we're killing ourselves at unbelievably high numbers. Too much order can be bad for us and our mental health.

    • @gazorpazorp9798
      @gazorpazorp9798 Před 6 lety +183

      Japan is 26th in the world for suicide rate. It’s a huge problem but there other countries that have it much worse.

    • @jdkane3654
      @jdkane3654 Před 6 lety +85

      @@gazorpazorp9798 That's actually a lot higher than I thought, yikes. 26th world wide is really bad on it's own but when we speak about Japan's suicide rate we compare it to other developed first world nations and Japan is second highest among major industrialized nations. Compared to other first world nations they are doing exceptionally bad regarding mental health. I'd much rather live in loud, dirty, graffiti filled New York long term rather any clean soul crushing Japanese city.

      @@zaberfangking I think I still have my exact schedule with hotels & expenses somewhere on my PC if you'd like it.
      We were there from July 21st until August 6th (the flight back was on the 7th at 1 a.m). We did Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto (visited Nara), Hiroshima (visited Miyajima), Osaka and back to Tokyo for Disney. We booked a super expensive hotel in Hakone for one night (it was 600€ per night) and we also had a pricey hotel in Tokyo that was nice but a cheaper one would have been as good. Including all entry fees(disney is expensive af), railpass, public transport, flights(780 euro p.p) and food(we ate a lot from combinis - 7eleven egg sando is highly recommended) we spent around 2.7 to 3000 per person (I am not 100% sure how much we spend on gifts). I think you could save a lot by choosing cheaper hotels but I saved money to experience everything exactly as I imagined it and for that I don't think it was too much money. It was 100% worth it. Sorry for the long paragraph I just get so excited when I talk about it :)
      Ps.: I kyoto we stayed at Sakura Terrace the Gallery for 5 nights (they have a special offer for 5 consecutive nights) it was such a brilliant hotel! You get a voucher for the restaurant and a free drink every night. The room was huge and the location brilliant!! Highly recommended!!

    私は62歳で大阪に住んでいます。私が高校生の頃、一人で清水寺に写真を撮りに行きました。1:05:50のお堂のところで幼い兄弟が鐘をたたいているところを撮影しました。写真コンクールにその写真を出したことを思い出しました。最近、いろんな清水寺のビデオを見ますが、このお堂を映していただいて感激です。やはりここにあったんだとわかりました。足の調子が悪く行けないのでビデオを見て満足です。45年前にタイムスリップできました。ありがとうございます。まるで旅行しているみたいで楽しいビデオです。I live in Osaka at the age of 62. When I was a high school student, I went to take a picture at Kiyomizu Temple alone. At the 1:05:50 podium I took a picture of a young brother hitting a bell. I remembered that I took the picture on a photo competition. Recently, I see videos of various Kiyomizudera temples, but I am deeply moved to reflect this Kyoto. I understood that it was here as well. I am satisfied to see the video because I can not go because my feet are bad. I was able to slip time 45 years ago. Thank you very much. I agree, I spent nearly a month in Japan, and it was the nicest place I have ever been. The streets were clean, the people polite, no visible crime. The food was prepared with care and was delicious. I went to their supermarket, picked up the fruit and looked at the other side, and it was even more perfect on the down side.
    They respect and love their country, and take care of it. Western countries would do well to teach it's citizens to love and respect their countries too.

      意味は充分に通じます。ブロークンでもいいから 思う/思った 事を伝えた方がいいでしょう。圧倒的に多くの外国人は「話の内容」に重きを置きます。他人様の事は言えませんが、次の様にするといいかも...。
      I am a JAPANESE ...→ この a は文末の student を修飾し、途中の school を修飾していない事に注意されたし。まず I am a student という概念があります。a は不定冠詞、the は定冠詞と呼ばれます。「定」冠詞の「定」は限定の「定」です。その語句が「何を限定しているのか?」。詳しい内容は文法書を御覧下さい。文法嫌いにならないために、高校生になってからで構いません。
      This video reminds me of one of our school trips. → この方が引き締まった英文になります。trip が一回だけでしたら trip と単数扱いで構いませんが...。また、trips の後に説明文が必要となるかも知れません。remind 人/団体 of 出来事/物事 の型。CZcams のコメントで割とよく使われています。
      Thank you ... video! とします。 ! /?/;/: はその左の 単語に密着させるのが正しく「空き」は不要です。実際、英字新聞でもその様になっています。./, の処理と同様です。

    I was in Kyoto around this time. Such a beautiful and culturally deep city. The best thing was the morning time and at dusk. I really enjoyed walking around looking for Go salon's. I am learning Japanese now so when I go back, I can really interact with the locals on a different level. If you want to travel internationally, Japan is a great choice.

    I really wish you had a video that concentrated on the area seen during the last few minutes of this video. It was so satisfying to see the various shops, gorgeous buildings, and the old stone walls and foundations. It's like a city that has been rebuilt several times, an architectural reincarnation of sorts. I love that you pan the camera upwards, as I can see the window shades, wood carvings, shutters, and all the architectural elements of the area. And the lighting is fantastic, as are the natural sounds. I can't get enough of the amazing textures as you walk down the grade past colorful souvenirs, food, clothing, and knick knacks. You can faintly see the city in the background...just barely. Exquisite video. I was transported back in time as I looked at all the costumes and lovely tile roof tops on these narrow streets. I wanted to 'walk' down all of them, and was sad when the video ended. I wonder if the rickshaws can make it up and down those hills...more please. :-D

    Hello Everyone, greetings from Penang, Malaysia. My wife and I were in Kyoto in 2016 as free independent travellers and it was our first time visiting Japan. We stayed at a hotel near the Kyoto train station and fully enjoyed our time there. We enjoyed our tempura prawns at a specialised restaurant in the train station and I can attest that it was so good! We also had lunch in a nearby restaurant after our visit to a nearby historic temple. Then, we also made it to the Kiyomizudera using the Kyoto regular bus tour which included lunch at our own expense. All in all, it’s such an unforgettable experience and watching this video evoked wonderful memories! Just sharing that our private Japan travel includes Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Narita. We fly into and out of Narita. Happy travelling and thank you.

    The CZcamsr took the road through the cemetery (sort of a rear approach) to Kiyomizudera temple. It's interesting that the cemetery Toribeno one of the oldest in Kyoto lies just beside the front approach to the temple where tourists, visitors and shoppers are bustling all day who usually do not notice a huge cemetery a death world spreading near by.
