God bless this woman! She just saved my life!
This is the best instructional video I've ever seen. I usually have to watch multiple videos on a topic to get a clear enough explanation to be able to duplicate the results. This one was very easy to understand and follow along. Thank You!
That's awesome. I'm glad you were able to learn through one watch.
Good to know that trick, thanx!
Oh super!!! Thank you so much. What a time saver!
You're welcome.
As always a fantastic tutorial you are great teacher
Thanks Kate. I love figuring out different faster techniques to save people time.
Thank you so much for your help!!
You're welcome. And tomorrow is a big Canva day. Canva Create. They'll make some announcements and big updates. I'll go live afterward. Hoping to be live by 6pm EDT
Thanks very informative video 👍
I am so glad you found this canva tutorial helpful.
I have a menu created and want to add an area that has a slide show in it with featured items or specials. Does this method of creating the show still apply. If so would I then be able to drop this created slide show into an area within the menu.
The intent of what I am trying to do is use a TV as our menu board and have an area within the menu that displays this slide show that I can customize and update on a monthly basis.
Thanks for the tutorial and any advise you offer.
What you could do is create the slideshow and download as mp4. Then re-upload and put it in smaller wherever you are wanting on your menu document. That was my first thought.
Hi, can I drop this presentation into a video I've made? Also, can you change the background to another image? Thank you.
Download as mp4 and put into the video wherever you need. Background grounds can be whatever you want. Right click. Detach from Background. Choose another video or photo and right click and set as Background is quickest way
What size do your pictures need to be to make this work? Mine seem to all be to big and cutting the image off.
It is all about aspect ratio. If you have images that aren't the same as the canvas then things will crop off when you stretch across the canvas. Does that make sense?
So I should make all my images the same size?@@TheCreatorClassroom
They moved the button ! GRRR :)
Which button and are you on the new interface?
@@TheCreatorClassroom the convert button. In its place is sign up and buy it. Now to the left under a new menu not easy to see.
with all the changes lately, things are in different spots especially from a video this long ago.
Convert is the same as resize - and resize has always been a paid feature. But yes. On a Canva Doc, it's under Magic Switch - then Convert to Presentation.
Help please! Once Canva converts, many of my pictures are cropped off and it doesn’t show the whole picture. What am I doing wrong?
Basically, you are fitting one shape picture into another. There are several techniques. Ultimately, it will take some time depending on the level of crop and how professional you want your Slideshow to be. The easiest solution is to detach image from background [right click detach should be there on the menu]. It will have blank solid color background, BUT the full picture will be there.
vertical photos don't work
What is happening when you do this? You should be able to use mobile video size for this. But Canva did just make a bunch of updates so I haven't tested it since the updates.
Mine doesn't I have the convert button
I will have to look to see what the UI changed it to when I get to my 🖥 later today. What type of design are you starting with to ensure I start with same size?
I could not find one at first either but if you click 'Magic Switch" which is by the undo button it should be there. It's called convert to presentation.
@emilysass8197 thank you for sharing the updated ui.
If you have many photos it does not work ...
How many photos are you trying?
Yes, I sadly had this same problem. I had about 500 photos.
I think that maxes out their limits for one project. Contact support to find out for sure. But if I remember correctly 300 pages is the max. It used to be 100. I'd try 100 first. If that works, make that version. Download as mp4. Make a copy. Then drag n drop for each page for new photos. After all are done..then put then together. This may or may not be a work around as it also depends on type of acct you have and storage limits within Canva.
I looked and 200 pages is the max amount of pages that can be added to a design. Here are some more bits about uploads maximums from Canva: www.canva.com/help/upload-formats-requirements/
Here is Canva support contact if you are within those limits and are having trouble: www.canva.com/help/get-in-touch/contact-support/
