Episode 16 sees us take an overnight, 1st class train from Hue to Ninh Binh, taking 12 and a half hour journey.
We show you the facilities within the 1st class cabin and give you our overall impressions of our very first Vietnamese train experience, inculding the toilet facilities.
On arrival in Ninh Binh, we take a taxi to our accommodation in Tam Coc, Green Fields Eco Homestay.
We take you on a tour of our room before heading out for some breakfast.
As the weather is poor, we alter our plans and end up at the Ninh Binh BEar Sancturay. The sanctuary is endorsed by Four Paws and house 47 Moon Bears.
These bear were cruelly used for Bile Extraction, as it was believed thi was used for medication to treat stomach problems and inflammation.
We take a tour with a guide around the sanctuary, learn about the bears rescues and we even get to see some of these beautiful creatures.
We then walk across the skywalk to see the bears in their huge pens playing and searching for food.

Yeah the bear sactuary was good, if not sad hearing the stories and stuff. All for a good cause though and great to see them starting to live a happy life.

Hopefully in a little while the bear sanctuary will be up and running and more moon bears can be rescued. So cruel what people do to these innocent animals.

No we actually really enjoyed the experience, the journey went over very quick. Toilets were not great but everything else was fine.
Why dont you also stop at Quang Binh to visit some caves there? I heard that they are pretty nice as well.
We would love to, but we need to come back to Vietnam to see these. We would definitely love to come back some day
