Rogue and Gambit, for over 30 years, have been the true "X couple". Forget about Jean Grey and Cyclops, those two are messier than a Louisiana Gumbo.
Yea. We literally see them from the beginning. From the flirting stage, break ups to make ups, team changes, power changes, pasts catching up, pretty much everything you would expect out of Jean and Scott, with Rogue and Gambit, instead. They’ve always been my favorite X couple
@Kdotkon Exactly, Rogue & Gambit all the way. I like Jean and Scott but their relationship always felt dull at times and Jean always wanted more out of life but stayed because of Scott.
It's beautiful how much he loves and supports her, and their connection is beyond touch. He should be a tantric master at this point, for all his preserved kundalini. However.. considering his powers, I'd imagine during their first time he'd explode upon touch 😅

The cool thing is, after the wedding, Gambit and Rouge probably have the healthiest relationship in all of Marvel comics.
There is something special about two people who just love, support, respect and care for each other.
And even if they have some "problems" they just sit and talk about it, like normal adults, without unnecessary drama.
And, they actually have a kid, in a possible future, a boy who eventually leads his own team of “X-men”.
That's what true love is. To know everything about each other, the good, the bad and the butt ass ugly... and you choose to love each other anyway!

Yep they like Spider-Man and MJw ere never meant to be happy, Marvel tends to do this. That's why Gambit fans need to prepare when Rogue leaves Gambit, it always happens rather we like it or not! My fear is Gambit fans getting mad and pulling some riot like Jan,6! I am scared for Marvel and hope onone gets hurt by potential insurrectionists! Y'all please don't take it personal, they killed Rogue, brought her back, Rogue fans took it well mostly because they had to bring her back, she's the life of the x-men! At least in the comics, they won't kill Gambit, but the union with Rogue has to end for Marvel to raise Rogue to greater places! One day Rogue will have full control of her powers, but knowing Marvel it'll long be after the breakup! I love that touch! Everyone always forgets how close Gambit is to Storm and X23. I've always been a fan of Gambit and Rogue but the X23 comics really got me to love and appreciate Gambit outside of his relationship with Rogue. He's more of a father figure to her than Wolverine is (love the guy but he definitely fumbled the bag with her)
I liked how Mystique snuck in an was able to see her adopted daughter get married and her son be in the bridal party as well. It was pretty big of Mystique to be on her best behavior considering she has never approved of Remy, like at all.
Gambit and Rouge are Marvel’s perfect power couple. They are perfect for each other.

I don't think there's such a thing as a power couple or anything close to "perfect" in marvel or dc comics. One party or both always seems to find a way to do something frustratingly, irredeemably stupid. But if you know any comic relationship that has no drama, please let me know where that unicorn is. Because for me, in fiction, perfect = no drama.

in fact, during the Mr AND Mrs X run, there is a chapter were they found somekind of mystical energy that acording to Espiral has the form of something diferent depending of the person who sees it, and Gambit goes to rescue it and when he sees it, ITs A BABY WITH 6 ARMS XD (like a baby espiral). So at the end of their adventures they are again in New Orleans, and are demanded to go visit TANTIE MATTIE, who is an old and kind of magic healer who is kind of a childhood nanny for Gambit. and she ask both Remy and Rogue to make it posible that she will be hearing the pitter-patter of small foot soon XD SO Rogue makes fun of Remy for seeing babies around him hahaha XD lol, and Remy says that he interested on having children some day, and that was tender I think =)

Right , but then some people think Kitty was too young for Colossus, they also scarf at the Magneto Rogue ship! Look the series messed it up Rogue was an adult in the Savageland when she and Erik got it on in the comics and now thf future can surprise us at least in the books let's say Rogue feels for Colossus later, Gambit is going to mess up, once a scoundrel always a scoundrel and he acts like a child women get sick of this and one day Rogue is going to let Gambit know, they will fight, she has enough of his lying he was caught drinking, trust me my friend lost his marriage to alcohol, his now ex said that's it! One day Rogue will be sad, Colossus will notice it then magic happens, he'll remeber Kitty leaving him at the altar, part of it is magik's fault, Rogue being a good listener andnow she is left out there will find kinship in Colossus, they marry and that could last! Colossus lives by the professor code of peace with humans, Rogue promised to live by that code the day she joined, sometimes a breakup can lead to a better relationship and hopefully by then Rogue will have conplete mastery to control her powers so she can go from deadly to normal at will! She could actually touch Colossus without hurting him even though she will convert to metal if she chooses to she had control with Colossus! Maybe some rekindling can happen! You never know and if Gambit andRogue spit Gambit can always pick up another girl, he's too smooth for his own good sometimes!

Well technically Remy didn’t propose at someone else’s wedding because there was no wedding to be had.
I have read everything those two have ever been in and I can say in my opinion it was long overdue. I think the chaotic nature of the wedding suits them though. You are wrong though about one point. Rogue and Magneto did have a short relationship during X-men Legacy and the Avengers vs XMen. She breaks it off with Magneto when she realizes that her ideals of him doesn't quite match up with who he really is. I am hoping that in X-men 97 Remy gets a resurrection some how and we see them tie the know there too.

Using someone else's wedding as your own wedding is wild. It's like going to a funeral, and as they're burying the last guy, and you hear "Wait, wait, wait" before your buddy chucks you into the open grave alongside the first guy.
It's not quite a one-to-one to Rogue and Gambit's situation, I guess. The first guy at the funeral would have had to cancel their funeral, and then your buddy chucks you into the empty hole because no one's using it.
Given the circumstance....it worked out well.

It's sort of a 'deep cut' reference from when Rogue and Magneto were trapped in the savage land in the comics. A big 'nobody liked that' moment no less.

Not once in the original did Magneto and Rogue have any romantic encounters so that’s what i meant. I understand the references it’s making but context is still important. Felt more like a forced point rather than one that naturally developed

So Magik was miserable to she had to take someone down with her by planting those thoughts in her head. Gambit and Rogue have been through a lot too so its like yeah Kitty yes you two been through the ringer but loves you. When this happened I was hoping they eventually do a story Colossus does find someone and marries them and Kitty can see the man she passed on by and realizes how Magik ruined it for her.

Okay so I'm blind and this is my only source for learning about comics. And my question is how does the kiss at the end of the wedding or the honeymoon work with rogue's powers? I feel like I'm missing something here
I believe at this time in the comics Rogue had control over her powers. Something the writers let her do now and then before something makes them 'stuck' in the 'on position' again. Usually it's a mental block that prevents her from controlling them fully. And then, depending on the writer, Gambit has on multiple occasions been able to touch her by using his own powers to create a slight 'kinetic barrier' that prevents 'full contact' between him and Rogue so they can still touch 'skin to skin' without actually making full contact.
If you look closely, she has the power dampening collar on for the wedding. The first issue of Mr and Mrs X starts with the wedding and it goes into everyone scrambling for this new wedding and she finds the collar.
Gambit pick the one type of wedding where it's perfectly okay to propose at he picked a ruined wedding. At a normal wedding the bride and groom are supposed to be the spotlight at all times but when stuff like this happens you can go and propose to your fiance and steal the spotlight cuz they don't want it anymore😂. Gambit is a thief and a hero. He knows when it's culturally appropriate to steal a spotlight😂
Also, I couldn't get more appropriate for a thieves wedding😂 and I bet they got to cart off all of what was formerly Kitty and colossus's wedding presents😂
