I needed to find this video weeks ago. I had voles this spring, so I cleaned everything up and put down a lot of mulch. That seems to have taken care of the voles, but then I went through and filled all the holes. I was so focused on the “problem” I didn’t take the time to see how different parts of the eco system were connected. No more stuffing the holes. Thanks for the video.

That's an easy way to give them 🐝🐝🐝 a home. I have many bumblebees in my garden. I'm always planning to build something like that for them but they find nests by themselves. I only have to watch out where they are that I don't disturb them 🐝💛

Thank you for this, i so care about bumblebees and trying to help them thrive in our garden..
Can you tell me, Is the size of the chicken wire just have to be the large end size of the pot as well? Also the size hole netting of the chicken wire, will 13mm size hole in the wire be small enough.. Seems smallest to find on E-bay for chicken wire.

i have found that if i leave a pvc square tube ( 6"x6" ) in 3' section and lay them on the ground the bumble bees seem to find them and make homes in them . i always find out afterward when i go to move them and a gazillion bees come out lol

Bumblebees are single season bees, they're more like solitary bees and they don't make honey like honeybee hives do.
