Cacti and succulents can grow in the driest corners of our world... where it may not rain for years at a time. Many survive through amazing adaptations. From giant saguaro catci to Euphorbia with deadly sap. The window plant (that has transparent leaves), to the pebble plant (which has leaves that mimic stones).
In this film, follow Stewart McPherson on a journey to discover the world's most unusual cacti and succulents that you can grow at home. We'll uncover the secrets behind rainbow cacti, spiral cacti and even cacti shaped like brains!
This is the eleventh of a series of fourteen "World's Most Spectacular Plants" videos. Visit www.spectacularplants.com to see the rest of the series!
I’m surrounded by greenery so watching this is like another world ..beautiful
the amount of seratonin this video gave me... unparalled
This video is underrated. It’s comprehensive and entertaining.
The BBC and David Attenborough really need to talk to Stewart. You know what I'm suggesting. Stewart can do the job, I know he can.
Is it me or did it sound like he has a regular American English accent at 6:58 (6:59 to be exact but listen a second closer) when he says "upwards"?? It sounds like he says upwards twice 🤔🤔 listen with headphones...
Maybe Stewart has his own plan(t)s for his future.
Agreed orang maybe national Geographic, but Mr Stewart is an English men?
@@Cleeon Stewart is English. His last name, McPherson is Scottish.
@@MrKmoconne hmm, then have cooperation with BBC can be better than National Geographic

Good video by the way
Very informative. Thank you for this video. I growing succulents here in the Philippines as well.
OMG 😮
This makes me miss my collection of jade trees and all the other succulents I used to keep. I'm surprised you didn't talk about autumn joy stonecop or other types of sedum that people use as landscaping pieces and the ground creeping types of sedum with tons of yellow blooms. Their leaves are similar to succulents but a lot thinner.
They are succulents too :)
My lil Armadillos
😍😍😍😍
i like cactus and animal
❤❤
This is really greatest 🍒🤗❤🌱🍇🌾
Thank you very much for this. Hate the macabre brain mockup though. Otherwise, what a treasure to see all this.
Nature is so amazing and wondrous. They undoubtably put us humans to shame.
🌵❤🌵❤🌵
Really enjoyed this! I think tho, there needs to be a statement regarding the Euphorbias have toxic sap. I know because I have 2 that are 6 foot tall and no one wants them. I put all of my cacti and succulents outside in spring to the end of fall here in central KY.
Yessir
I want see cactus in real but this is also nice 🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵
thank you for this informative video
😍😍😍😍😍
💯
Fantastic video, thank you. Just to add that if you spray succulent leaf babies with water they will most likely rot and die. Keep them dry and plant them in succulent soil only when they have healthy leaves, an inch is ideal.
Catus is the best
its like magic when growing them
I have a peanut cactus given to me in my birthday :)
does anyone know that the soundtrack is on this video???? I'm going crazy trying to find it
Hey! Where have all the agaves gone?!

Drosanthemum Floribundum
Could there be such a thing as a spirit plant? Like a spirit animal!?
Yes.
The Trichocereus bridgesii monstrose was dead center, but not mentioned. No one wanted to address the elephant in the room. ;)
My favorite genus of plants🌵

Absolutely brilliant video. Amazing to know that there are so many Cacti, Maybe the good Lord has given one of those plants the key to another C Cancer. I am sure there is a cure out there in the plant kingdom.
