- Hello and welcome to Lord Fenton Gaming plays Neverwinter Nights. I am your host Lord Fenton. In today's Neverwinter Nights build video, I am going to be building the Shadow Monk. This NWN build combines the Rogue, Monk and Shadowdancer all into one. With the sneak attacks of the rogue, speed & armor class of the monk and finally Hide in Plain sight of the Shadowdancer your foes will live in fear of you. At the epic levels you will tear foes a new one. Time to build the Shadow Monk together. Rogues are always good fun this looks awesome though! :)
They are great and you combine this with a monk is deadly results.
Monk speed, Rogue sneak attack, and shadowdancer hips, this build can solo most modules.
After testing it I was amazed how great this combo is. I am considering doing the Moonsea one if it is not a sequel to Darkness over Daggerford.

@@andrewhennagir1331 I do not have that set up. Closest is the Monk/Rogue/Shadowdancer. Just change the rogue levels out for Assassin. Get the Assassin to 10 than Shadowdancer to 1 and rest for Monk. Try that.
Hey there! It's kinda a crazy day so I'm letting everyone know that I'm not watching...but I am playing your video for you. I'm sorry.

I used to play the crap outta this game, and guess what? Found my Neverwinter Nights Gold set and installed it last night, but now I can't hardly remember anything lol. So, here's my question... What would be the most powerful ranged character I can make WITH Shadowdancer? I seem to recall doing something like that, but can't for the life of me remember what the character was. Seems like I had LInu running around as my companion, but... if I'm gonna be stealthing around maybe there's a better sidekick choice? Yes I like Rogues that have some ranged capability, (to lure enemies over my traps)
I really don't think you can have Arcane Archer AND Shadowdancer IIRC. But I know I like Rogue based toons with Lore and traps. Maybe I simply picked up some Fighter and specialized with crossbows / magic bolts or something? Knowing me, I probably made some uber bow in the toolset and went and grabbed that for the campaign lol. This was like 3 computers ago lol. (All these hurricanes we have down here in Louisiana will ruin your PCs.)
Good setup is a fighter/weapon master with range weapon as your main weapon. Another good one is a fighter/Arcane Archer/Wizard. You can do a rogue/shadow dancer with range weapons as that too just focus on set traps to help. There are so many good ways to setup a nice range class.
As far as original campaign henchmen I can say Linu if you can get her to buff and heal more often. Daelan Red Tiger is a great companion for the original since he can go in and tank while you stand back. Tomi if you really need a rogue is an ok companion you just need to use summons if you can or so to tank.
It's a fun game to play again.

Thank you. It depends for DPS. Many say Wizards and Sorcerers due to the spells they cast. On the other hand Druids and Clerics always good with theirs. DPS wise melee I will always say Fighter + Weapon Master combo is really nice. It depends what you build really makes the best of it.
@@LordFentonGaming Mmh I see. I was thinking in the case of a high magic server (online) what could probably be the best as a melee. Monk/Fighter/WM maybe ?
@@ImXenaroth That would be a good setup. Monks do get some free feats that helps.

@@ImXenaroth Closet one I had was my Fighter/Weapon Master one. Just take out a few fighter levels and add monk ones. Weapon wise Great sword or a nice 2her you rather use.
Should have started as Lawful Rogue to get more skill points and put some SP in UMD.
I should of and the more points into UMD you can do instead of any of the talking skills. I always say any of those are optional in case you feel less need of speaking your way through and more of combat.

Thanks. Best way is NWN list website or if all else fails people I hear uses GameRanger program to help out with that problem to get online.

Why not lvl up ur str for min maxing dmg? U should have the speed advantage, hips to escape
This is a dex build otherwise str I would of done.
Why not bump con to 14 for 8 cha? Cha is useless for this build
I like to keep my low stats at 10 unless noted. Otherwise 14 con is the way
