A yacht the size to carry a tender like this can never be owner managed/run. I like the style of the boat and the superyachts, but my yacht should always be like a second home/house to me. And i don't want strangers (crew) in my house constantly. So i guess no matter the money, that is not going to be my tender.

    • @slightlysublimated1619
      @slightlysublimated1619 Před 4 lety +1

@@Hanjotruper yeah 100+ meter superyachts are basically scaled down cruise ships. It's probably more of a status symbol to the owners than an actual usable craft. I doubt the owners would ever go on the yacht without an entourage/business associates with them.

I was thinking the same thing, until I realized the super yacht this would be used in conjunction with is probably 100x the price of this tender. It’s like buying the companion Rolex to go with your Rolls Royce.

A "beard off" review. How refreshing!
What I do find amusing is that whatever yacht you review, be it nary so many millions or a few pence, above the amazing electronic high tech navigation systems, is invariably a small magnetic compass indistinguishable from one you can get from Halfords for a few quid.
Sensible to have an analog standby, but does little to reinforce confidence in the whizzy electronics. Incidentally, I wonder if they have the mini-magnetic compass swung.

I wonder how it would look without the hardtop. Awesome I expect. Look at the depth of that colour! 0_0 Guaranteed that paint job alone costs more than a half decent house. Would be nice to paint the engines to match whilst keeping the 450 horsepower decals.

I've been looking for a tender with these specs. I've recently joined a Fantasy Yacht Touring Club, that I invented - only room for one, sorry. - start your own. Anyway, I have TWO yachts at present and the larger 120 Johnson will do just fine with this addition. My 680S still needs a Williams, but I continue to shop. I've started planning my 'MED cruise' for this season, however, my ultimate (NOT JOKING), a grand tour of the coast of the Isle of Great Britain / Scotland. As I adore dark, cold, rainy weather, I shall save the bit around Scotland for this Winter. It really is fun - couldn't have done it without AQUAHOLICS. You Land Lubbers should give it a try...

What a fun toy to bring out of your gigayacht's garage to attack some gnarly waves whenever the going gets rough. Where other yachties hunker down in the lowest midship cabin they can, you'll be strapped into a floating machine gun nest*, blasting through waves and laughing maniacally. I would.
      * Machine gun may not be available to civilian buyers. Won't hurt to ask though...

Hi. Nick a question please how far have the powers that be got with the usage of white diesel on boats as against red, as I realise the running costs of the bigger boats will go through the roof if they get there way, and what's your opinion.
Cheers thanks, great vid as usual.

Looks like we're losing the tax benefits of red (but not the actual red fuel, so can still fill up at commercial filling stations)

Not sure about this one personally. That is an awful lot of money for what is essentially a tender with a lot of power on tap. If I had £1,250, 000 spare and was looking for a boat then I'd be perusing the 2nd hand 'yachts for sale' listings to find a more spacious and luxurious boat in which do my leisure in. I guess if money is no problem and you already own a multi-million pound/ dollar boat then this might be a fun purchase/ tax write-off. Nice to see though so thanks for the video as ever Nick.

No one is going to choose between this or a spacious luxurious yacht, they'll buy this because it's what they want and they can afford it, or they'll buy it as well...

@@AQUAHOLIC Yes I think that is what I was alluding to. It's a very nice boat for sure and I always enjoy each of your videos Nick. It was just my opinion on how I would choose should I ever I win the lottery, marry a rich widow or rob a bank :)

Something DIFFERENT but EQUALLY FINE! Lots of design and style and high end specifications. I did not see storage room for diving or watersports gear, even though you mentioned it.

There's a huge storage area under the aft sunpad because that's the engineroom in the inboard version I believe. Unfortunately at boat shows time is very limited so I don't always get to show everything.

Hey aquaholic so I’m saving up for a motor yacht for under 3 million do you have any suggestions I’m thinking about a pearl 80 or a absolute 47 or a gallon 680 which should I go for as I’m completely new to yachts ?

Do you happen to have a show that has the smallest motor yacht that can cross the Atlantic starting in the Caribbean going to the nearest point to finally take the final leg to Europe? If not maybe have a show?

....and what's under the remaining 2/3 of the deck? Spare inboard engines? A 2000 gln gastank? Or just a lot of empty space ?....

Wow, that's a change from the norm, cracking colour, but having owned a petrol powered boat @ a meager 300hp, I shudder to think how much this bad boy goes through! But hey, if you can afford this as a tender, that's not even coming into the equation. 😅
    Thanks Nick.
