I've had this bike for a year now, I've covered 8,000 km so far. I drive it every day to work, but not faster than 80-90 km/h, otherwise I tested the engine on flat ground, it goes 111 km/h without problems.

Is this the 2022 model? How do you find the 12.2 hp engine performs?
@@wayneshuter6511 I had this exact model for a year and in my opinion it's underpowered. So I sold it and bought a Beverly 400s.
2022 XMAX 125 is a great bike overall. Handling is fun, it is very confortable and practical, but engine is very poor.
I think the bike its made for big roads and enjoying long rides, and engine is made exlusively for city.
For comparison my dad's 2018 Forza made it up 120km/h with any problems even with a passenger.
@@ratapeinada Many thanks. I am generally pleased with the Yamaha and feel it offers a superior ride, with excellent braking and handling. It is fine in the city, but I feel it is slow to get up to speed on the highway. I am hoping this changes once I get the first service and oil change done this week else I might have to look out for a 2019/20 model with the higher hp engine.

Looking forward for when you review the 2023 model when it's available. It looks alot better than previous ones. Plus the with the tech max it gets a new tft screen and garmin navigation.

I went and had a look at the xmax 125 at my local Yamaha dealer. Looks really nice but I’m not tall either and I was on tip toes. Plus in the middle where the fuel tank is I found that too high and was a struggle to get leg over it plus I don’t think it’s worth the asking price.
It’s not as good as my previous bike,Suzuki burgman 125cc 2019.
Yamaha sell a low seat which they say lowers the seat height by 40mm which would make it lower than the nmax, reduces storage though. Seems odd the power of the Xmax is the same as the NMax as a lot of extra weight to shift, it could be increased nearer to 15 hp like the Forza and still get in to the UK provisional licence, do Honda give the same power to the Forza as the PCX, course not.

It feels so weird thinking of xmax & nmax(still ok) having cc of 125 only... Nmax still ok, xmax is big & seems 125cc is under powered. Here, malaysia & Indonesia is 250cc, other countries have 300cc. The nmax is 155cc. Maybe there's a regulation in spain regarding cc? & The price is way2 expensive. Nmax 155 here cost about myr11k+ (about 2k+ euro) including roadtax/ins. & Xmax 250cc is myr25k+ (5k+ euro)
Yes, I guess the problems are European licensing laws. Anything with more than 15 HP you need a different driving license.

That’s European regulation. A higher price to pay for a better environment. Emission regulations are very strict, but everyone agrees on them.

Hello, this is the model year 2022 with a width of 775 mm. Apparently the new one is wider.
@@BenalRida Good to know. The reason the width interests me is the fact that this or any other Scooter l purchase HAS to be pushed, pulled or even ridden through a 800mm doorway into a building for security purposes.

I bought brand new xmax 125cc plate 72.
After 1450miles engine broken. Yamaha fixed it but after hour drive again broken 😢.
I think I am done with Yamaha

Highly doubt it'll break. Unless you don't have very good mechanical sympathy. You have to run the engine in when new for 1000miles. Then you can use full throttle. And of course check the engine oil every ride.....
