An hour trainspotting at Maidenhead station on Tuesday 24th October 2017. I was hoping to see some of the 387's out & about but apparently they only really come out to play this far west in the peak times at the moment.
INCLUDES: Great Western HST's (lots of different liveries to look out for too!), 180's & Turbos. Also includes a DB Schenker Class 59 and a 66!
Not bad going for just an hour. Maidenhead is probably becoming one of my favourite spots for filming towards to the London end of the Great Western network. Nice approach, so you can see the trains coming as well a good mix of stoppers & fasts.
Thanks for watching

Thanks for another great video
Great video!
Great video 👍
Love the IC swallow livery HST, takes me back to the good old days! VTEC should have done something similar!
Thank you
Gotta love seeing the HST's in gWr green.
Interesting that, even though trains never normally stop at the Down Fast line platform, they still seem to put out bags for litter.
AndreiTupolev, platform one is used at peak times, and when National Rail are doing engineering work on relief lines. Otherwise, you are correct; it's rarely used.
Go to Maidenhead for the ultimate Freudian trainspot!!! lol lol
The HST. a great example of amazing british engineering. It'll be a shame when they get withdrawn.
yes
Lubdhak Das What? I didn't even say I have too. I was saying that the HSTs are fantastic trains okay.
Lubdhak Das No worries. I'm not mad. :-)
The hitatchis will run on the gwml as well because they are electric and diesel
@@Great_WesternTVFan They are, but in a shorter 4 or 5 car form to replace multiple units like pacers and sprinters on certain services. In addition to some going up to Scotland and quite a few likely to be preserved.
Electrification Because Of Class 800s Coming To The GWML In 2017
It's home!
❤
Did the HST hit a bird at 4:00? Looks like it.
Mat Barrie Yes it did. Well spotted br0
Yup! Saw it too! RIP birdo...
I can't see
LuniFJ what does it look like?
Lubdhak Das basically go to 3:57 (3 seconds earlier) and watch it. Or put it to 720p or 1080p
English trains are so great! Mostly the Class 43

shelby3024 / Cpr123 Your joke is good by the way! 😂😂😊
Were there no 800's?
Lubdhak Das They're not replacing turbos? They're future replacements for HSTs and they are able to reach 125.
The first class 800's have only in the last couple of weeks started coming through, and at the moment you'd have to know your timings to get to see one. I am surprised that the Electrostars that have been running services since May did not feature...
