- A friendly raccoon mommy that I call Cutie Monster is very vocal today. She keeps chattering with her babies. I wish I knew exactly what she was saying. Her babies respond, and she nibbles on their neck and even gives them hugs. It's so amazing to be up close and personal during these private moments.
Many other raccoons come around, too. The newly named Lucille, Bill and Jill, Mischievous Missy, and many babies. Cuties babies are now very comfortable with me, and I even was petting one. Lots of cute footage of them going up and down trees.

Cutie's like, "Oh, it's you, you're fine..." *flop* onto the log! Poor worn out girl. Good you're giving them as much water as you can. Pleased to hear your Root Canal is going well, but still -- oof! All these raccoons; this area where you've got the logs has become a raccoon fortress! Cutie's amazing trilling to her babies -- and then I heard it when she was close enough to you, OMG, she earns her name! What a sweetie!

I have a bunch of raccoons here that i share scraps with, they follow me around outside at night looking for treats. They can be very friendly and playful creatures. What I've started doing because it's been so hot lately, i put a couple small buckets of water out for them, but i put grapes in there too, and they sink to the bottom. The raccoons seem to like it, dipping their hands in to find the grapes, must be refreshing after a hot day.

Wow!You can't tell a player without a scorecard. Lol. I love the forest that all these beautiful furbabies call home. It's nice and flat. Cutie and her babies are just Precious. Cookies are one thing that all raccoons seem to love, especially the cream. It seems very relaxing in your special place. I too have a deck, where I put cat chow, peanuts, etc. and I have a large backyard leading to the woods, where the raccoons I get come from. But I can only go so far into the woods due to poisonous vines, mushy ground when it rains, fallen trees, etc., so I envy your vantage point. I've only gotten to pet a baby raccoon once, when he got stuck on my storm window while trying to run following momma. I approached carefully and gently petted the sweetie, then released his little foot, and off he ran. It was a Wonderful experience that I will never forget. This year as I was going to put out my food, there was a raccoon at the bottom of my deck's stairs, and he started to run but stopped halfway down the path. He seemed to recognize me, and he came back to eat after a few minutes. I wonder if it was the little guy all grown up now. I was wondering, the place where you feed Cutie and her babies, did you arrange part of it or is it natural? It seems like a perfect place.😊❤
This wooded park is very close to home. I arranged some of the stick fences but not the giant fallen trees. I'm glad you have found joy in feeding them. They are marvelous animals that are so misunderstood. Thanks for being kind 😇

I buried the water bowls today..., finally! I should weigh my backpack filled with food and water. Not sure how much more I can take. We've had lots of rain, and puddles are just down the hill.
@@OONSDAY ,Water is 8# per gallon, food, cookies & peanuts in the backpack & a gallon of water in each hand should be about 25# total. Just think of it as exercise!! LOL On the way there think about how light it'll be on the way back!!😄

Very nice to see that some one likes raccoons they are awesome animals and i have 3 of them as pets home.
You are so lucky! I love these animals and have been fortunate to form tight bonds with quite a few wild ones. I wonder, do yours watch TV? They might enjoy my channel. Especially my videos from last year of them playing games on my patio.
@@OONSDAY Yes the big one named Kevin he does like it he was bit confused by the raccoons talking in your videos but after a bit he did figure it out. The other two like to play more then to sit around, but he is more chill.

Lol love the way you did the close up of the little one on the tree 🌳 next time you should try placing your hand ✋️/arm against the tree 🌳 like a branch and see 👀 if the baby 🦝will climb up your arm like a tree 🌳 branch. Mine likes to do that sometimes when I'm working on my potting bench in order to climb up and sitting on my shoulders etc. Also a good way to get closer with the little 🦝🦝on their terms. Just don't forget to give them treats for doing so.❤😊

@OONSDAY just wanted to help you out with a better interaction with the little ones. Who knows you might be able to finally have one for a pet and carry it around on your shoulders like I do. Even though it's wild. Sometimes I'm even able to put a harness/leash and take it with me when I go shopping 🛍 only so it doesn't run off should it get scared which seldom happens 🤔 but you get lots of funny 😄 looks from people and those who want to play/pet the 🦝it's also a great opportunity to teach people about them especially when I do the shopping 🛍 during the daytime 😏
And get you some mosquito spray. Lol.

I sure hope MoonPie is okay. Maybe like a raccoon mother she lays on her side sometimes. I seen a raccoon raise another raccoons babies once. Because there are so many raccoons, it is very hard to tell who's is who's. Either way it doesn't matter your daddy Oon, they all come running when they see you. I love listening to the sounds of them out in the wild. You are truly getting some rare video footage. Awesome!!! You have the best videos of raccoons I've ever seen. I am on team Oon ❤️. I'd say they'll return to being mostly nocturnal by early October. They need for additional calories for mom and babies has them out at these hours.

Yes he has known the mamma Cutie for quite sometime. He's only just started having to go out into the woods to see these guys, where they used to come to his home. His neighbours have made it really difficult for him to continue feeding them at his place. If you have a look at some of the older videos, he used to create all sorts of games and competitions for the oons to participate in. There was a Kentucky derby theme, another where they played musical instruments, a food challenge, where viewers sent in recipes for Mrs Oon to make, and for us to predict which one the Oons would like the most. Generations of Oons have been coming to this Man's yard, and they trust him a lot. This is a different format, but we're all just supporting the channel regardless of the format. I'm from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 and we don't have Racoons, so I enjoy it even if it's just the Oons, and no games. We are taking all their habitat, and then his lousey neighbours complain that there are a few showing up at his place nightly for some food. Poor little mites aren't hurting anyone. Anyway hope this helps explain ❤

You need a heavier, shallow water bowl that they can't tip over, like a birdbath bowl.
I finally took a shovel out yesterday and buried the bowls. Should work now. I also added a wider/shallow bowl.
I can suggest some tall narrow water container that they cant put their paws in and set so that they can't tip it

My goodness, they switch dens every night it seems. I've seen them crawl out of many different tree hollows.
