My 12 pro max is from Singapore with the dual sim slot and everything works fine. I've had it since they came out
I know before the German models were region locked to the carrier it came with. (Around iPhone 3/4). Also Apple Pay and Google Pay weren't allowed by banks as they tried their own scheme until the end of 2018 and failed.
I’m currently use ZP set cuz in Malaysia and Singapore we use zp set for ip, there is no dual sim for us, only one physical sim and other one is esim

If Japanese phones are very cheap, no matter, even fart sound, I'm ok with that.
You can now mute the shutter sound on Japanese iPhones when you update to iOS 15 (as long as you're using a non-Japanese SIM card).

If the answer is USA version , under what category I could get USA version because there are 4 categories (HK , Japan , middle east and international)
You can ask local stores in uae for US version but you will only know the details once you go in your settings of your iPhone and check model number

i have the iphone 11 2020 ch version and the facetime audio calls and whatsapp are working fine
I have an iPhone 12 China/HK variant. Been using 2 local SIMs in the Philippines and iCloud ID is my default iMessage and Facetime send and receive. I haven't had any problems with Facetime audio. It works perfectly.
UPDATE: I installed WhatsApp and was able to register and use the messaging app without any issues.
Nice to know ... I am still thinking if I should get the US variant over HK variant ....

yesterday i’ve got a japanese iPhone 13 Pro without knowing it, but the shutter sound seems to be unaffected and muting when it’s in silent mode. maybe because i’ve setted the region to italy since i live there?

hey can you check if the accessories from different regions work or not? I have an ipad pro 2020 from the US and a headphone jack adapter from india.
When connected the ipad says “unlock to use accessory” but it disappears when unlocked and the accessory doesn’t work. pls help.

I have iPhone 12 Pro Max, my model number has “ZP” as last two letters before “/“ and based on the chart its should be “Hong Kong and Macau”. But the thing is, it doesn’t have physical dual sim card, i have got this phone brand new here in Malaysia from official retailer. I don’t use FaceTime that much so can’t tell if anything is not working with it, but with Whatsapp, never faced any issues or problems.

Same for me. My iphone 11 model number is MWM32ZP/A and it does not have the physical dual sim slot. I guess not all Hong Kong / Macau models have dual physical sim slots

My Hong Kong XR variant has esim and not dual physical sim. Also FaceTime audio works here as well. Just FYI. Nice video.

Indeed i also have ZP mean hongkong variant. WhatsApp is working fine, no physical dual option (one nano sim and one ESim option), no shutter sound on photo option but for portrait yea it gives sound.
I have a Japanese phone, and the shutter sound can be switched off if you change regions or sim cards.

Okay i have a japanese iphone 12 and i figured a way to handle annoying shutter sound...so you basically go to shortcuts and create an automation such that every time camera app is opened the volume turns to 0% and when you are out of camera app the volume turns up to 100% or what % level you want .

Nice. I use the shortcuts automation for other things like when I open navigation. I have it set to max volume when I open maps. Also I use it for creating my own gaming mode to block messages as ios doesn't have one.

US model sound is much higher compared with other models, noticeable difference
Yeah mine is hongkong variant and the sounds is horrible. Sounds like nokia 3210. Iphone 11 btw.
I was able to compare Us variant and Hk variant dual sim of iphone 11 and I really noticed a big difference in quality of the video camera. The Hk variant seem to have bad stabilization compared to the US variant. Not sure why so I went for the US variant. Such a huge difference in the camera whch is so important for me 🤣

For bandwidth best is iPhone with same region which supports all local bandwidth. Only USA version supports millimeter-wave 5G bands that’s why it’s best for traveling

Something weird happened to me I ordered Japanese version in the UAE and before I inserted the SM card there was a shuttle sound, but after I insterted the SM card which is the UAE one the shuttle sound was gone..
Is your japan version iPhone works finely? Or did you get any issues when using it?
@@Glitz_activity Hello, it’s been 7 months and yes, it works perfectly fine no issues. And don’t worry about the shuttle sound when you insert the UAE SIM card it will be gone. Or any country you live in not necessarily UAE.

Interesting. I live in Mexico. I bought my iPhone 12 pro from the Mexican Apple website. While tracking my order, it said it was shipped from the United States.
Now that I checked the chart you showed, I think my phone's country of origin is either Chile, Uruguay or Paraguay. xD Doesn't make any sense since there is also one for Mexico. Why did I get one from Chile/Uruguay/Paraguay? xD
I'm Mexican too, I bought my iPhone Xs Max in a Apple Premium Reseller in a mall, back in 2019 and the number model has the LZ which means is supposed to be from Chile/Paraguay/Uruguay, pretty clever.

Not the country of origin (where it was made), but for which country/region it was made. Almost all iPhones are made in China (except for some older models in India)

I have an iP11pro PP and my friend’s iP6s JP. Her JP shutter is more waaay louder than mine. Mine is just so minimal. I like iphone shutter sound tho.

WhatsApp works on 100% of Hong Kong variants, as my experience tell. It stops working due to China’s Internet Firewall, just in Mainland China, but not the iPhone itself.
